But you know what I mean - bad ice, especially new bad ice, often takes some time for the goal moorings to set up properly.

They could've delayed the start of the period for that then - instead of wasting lots of time on pointless replay reviews.

Badgers still came on top because they have some nice defense themselves...Craig Smith is among our most valuable players. Great effort from him tonight...Gudmanson was great tonight...What a great hockey game

I agree that UW didn't play well, but we didn't have to considering the opponent. We also didn't get outplayed by a fairly wide margin. I'm glad you cleared that up.

Either way if the BADgers continue to play like they did on Friday you can say good bye to even playing in the national championship game let alone the Final Five.

Either way if the BADgers continue to play like they did on Friday you can say good bye to even playing in the national championship game let alone the Final Five.

A bad game this weekend is better than a bad game in two weeks.
Even the most "homer" of a fan has to admit that anyone trying to win the title will have to contend with Denver and/or Miami.

I do like Monday nights... like the one back in the fall when Brett Favre kicked the crap out of Green Bay... do you guys remeber that one?
It happened twice actually, so it's hard to keep them straight.

Today's game - I heard Eaves was seen coming out of the refs hotel late last night around 2 am....look for Sconi to get the first 6 power plays again today.... that Eaves really knows how to create a happy ending!

How does Woog still have a job doing play by play? Don't get me wrong, Paul Braun and Bill Howard were "homers" from the drop of the puck, but at least in a widely broadcast TV game Braun could dial those tendencies back a bit. And further, Woog is just not very good. He has spent more time talking about hockey in general and ignoring the game that is right in front of him.

The ice for the Michigan game was only bad in a couple of spots. The entire sheet last night was pretty bad. At times it looked like they were using a super-ball and not a puck.

Penalties
Wisconsin 8 for 16 minutes
Minnesota 7 for 14 minutes

When did the refs give Wisconsin the game? And before you point to the disallowed goal, read the rules regarding a man in the crease that has already been posted in this thread.

This show how little you know about the game of hockey. When the team who scores first wins around 70% of the time... do you think maybe just maybe it makes a difference when Sconi gets 6 of the first 7 PP's?? Of course the refs will even it out later in the game to save face; but the damage was done. It matters when they are called more than the overall number.

No, the reason that I'm not listening to the UW announcers (who are at the game) is the radio is actually delayed a solid 5 seconds behind the TV. It's a coin flip if the delay is worth not throwing up in my mouth a little every time Woog says anything.
