Minnesota will be capable of sweeping any series they play this season. Every opponent this season will be capable of sweeping the Gophers. Performance on the ice will determine in which part of that range the result will fall.

That sums it up pretty well I'd say, and I'm sure Coach Frost would agree also. For the Gophers to win consistently over the course of the season they will need continuous improvement and a total effort by everyone in the lineup, each and every game.

According to a source close to the team, #7 may not be suiting up. Stay tuned, there may be more scratches, due to injury. Every player will need to contribute! , Every player will likely get the chance to also.
When the team had 2 extra players last yr, there were virtually no injuries. It's not working out that way this yr so far.

It often seems like there will be a few injuries early as people get their bodies accustomed to game action. I hope it is nothing serious that will impact anyone for long.

I think the cameraman at OSU is on quaaludes or something...he's always way behind the play for the Gophers in the O zone. It's 1-1 in the 1st.

I can hear the off camera talk between director? and camera operator. It seems like based on her (the camera operator) comments that this is the first hockey game she has ever seen.

2-1 Minnesota, end of first.

pull up women's hockey schedule

click on live stats for this game, you will get a page but the page has no link for this game

go to bottom of page, search for women's hockey 2009

you get another page of links for live stats including a link for this game

Minnesota leads in shots 19-11.

How does the Gopher PK and goaltending look? Second Friday in a row with 2 PP goals allowed. We need to improve there.

Twins scored the first run in the top of the 6th; Yanks got it right back in the bottom of the inning.

5-4 after a Buckeye PP...you're right about the need for improvement. :(
