Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4
This is an obvious one, but drunk drivers. I'm on my way to my first ever hockey skills class and pick up game, and I'm sitting at a red light. Next thing I know, I get smacked into by some young twenty something oblivious to what just happened. I get out of my car to see if she's ok (I'm good, just going to be sore. Hello muscle relaxers and percocet), and she's on her phone talking. I try to see if she's ok, and she gives me the "one minute" sign so she can finish her conversation. We start exchanging information, and I ask her if she's been drinking. No she says emphatically, why? And I just say, because you reek of booze. I'm going to call the state police now, sooooo...
As we're waiting for the state police to show up, I'm calling my wife to let her know, and to let the person I was meeting up with for hockey know that I wouldn't be making it, when the drunk bimbo comes to me and says "I'm not even mad at you for hitting you." I had her say it again to make sure I heard her correctly the first time and sure enough, she says, I'm not even mad at you for hitting you. I asked her why would she be mad at me, when she hit me? She goes, oh, now you're going to get angry. Finally, by the graces of God above, pd shows up and I don't have to listen to her drunken babbling anymore. Cop takes the info and comes back to me and says, I'm goign to get you out of here quickly, and then she's coming back with me.
Is it that hard to get a DD or not get blitzed on a Sunday afternoon/evening?
