For your information too:

Prior to 1969, America treated her LGBT citizens as not even human. We were blacklisted under McCarthyism, arrested for affection in public, and had cruel psychiatric experiments conducted on us. Parents found to be LGBT had their children stripped from them because the parent was deemed mentally unfit.

There were protests, speeches, and attempts to educate. But no one really listened because cishet feelings took precedence over our rights.

But at Stonewall, June 28, 1969, when police raided the nightclub and attempted to arrest us under false pretenses, we fought back and we fought back HARD, chasing the cops from the area. You think Pride events were always parades and flags and shit? The first Pride was a riot.

And even here in 2022, as LGBT rights are being dismantled or progress is being stalled because of cishet feelings, guess what? It might be too late for my 40 year old arthritic ass, but the kids are coming. And to say they're angry is a big understatement.

The new, clean blood pushes out the old, fouled blood. In our dotage we too will be outed and denounced as bigots for things we can't even imagine, and the cycle will go on. We believe so strongly in the garbage our parents or pastor put in our heads that we literally cannot see around it.

But God's got a plan for that, too: built-in lifespan.

Now I see that 16 team members of Thomas have written a letter asking that the school not challenge those stricter standards because of her "unfair advantage."

Methinks the UPenn swimming team may be headed for some team unity issues.

Huh? Those people who signed-off were all biological women. Where's the bigotry there?

It's truly ridiculous to pit men against women in almost any sporting event, and that is completely obvious.

I won’t quote, but on the off chance you don’t doesn’t realize it, Fishy, what you just posted is hate speech. That’s literally in the same category as using the N word.

Knock it off.

No it wasn’t hate speech and no it wasn’t in the same category, you clown.

Honk

I don't hate anyone.

But pitting women against men in *most* sports just disadvantages the women. That is as clear as day.

Let the Penn swimmer- ranked at something like #164 in the mens' Ivy League, as opposed to #1 on the female side- compete as a woman against men.

That makes a lot more sense, but we never have seen such a thing.

As a trans person, I resent being called a depraved freak just because I'm trans.

I work hard at being a depraved freak, thank you very much!

Not exactly sure why my coworker tonight would go on a bizarre rant about pronouns in email signatures.

Wait. Never mind. She's telling me exactly who she is.

Right now, nobody gives a shit re who dresses up as what.

And calling people "ciset" is offensive.

Learn some manners. Being trans doesn't award you a free pass.

Quelle surprise, "I got your back" was nothing more than an empty promise and another platitude in a long list of platitudes told to my community by politicians seeking our vote.

Grandpa Joe and Miserable Merrick aren't going to do a damn thing.

What exactly are they supposed to do about proposed bills in a state legislature that haven't been enacted into law?

Go have another visibility and awareness campaign?

Continue to talk over my community and act like we need to be babied?

Continue with the tired of act of "be quiet so I can be comfortable" act?

Cishet male politicians can't be trusted. At all.
