It seems that if there is such a danger of men doing what Fishman says, they should all be kept 500 yards from women's bathrooms at all times, right? That seems like the most thorough solution.
Genetic screening at every women’s room door. If you’re not in favor, then why don’t you care about women getting raped?

At this point, I’m pretty confident that Fishman has spent the last 50 years (assuming an ‘81 college graduation date) fantasizing about sneaking into women’s room to hear and smell them poop and pee (not like you’d see anything* unless you were in the same stall).

Why else would he project that desire onto so many others to think it would be a widespread problem?

*to be fair, he probably also imagines that women’s rooms are routinely the site of naked pillowfight lesbian orgies.

There is at least one category of spy-porn based of guys peeping women while they're on the toilet. It's my bet that this is the basis for these sorts of reactions to the idea of transwomen in bathrooms. The act of spying and/or filming in these settings is illegal already, and I'm pretty sure that almost all of the cases I've ever seen come up in the news involves in an apartment or rental home setting. (Coincidentally, I used to be acquainted with a woman who found a peep camera in the vent of her apartment's bathroom. My friend, her boyfriend at the time, paid a visit to the site. Miraculously, the camera disappeared from her kitchen countertop the next day while she was at work.)

I don't recall ever seeing an article in the news that something like this has ever happened in multi-person bathroom.

Sure, cameras I (almost) get, especially in home bathrooms where people would be naked, showering, etc. But that’s not the vantage point you would get by actually physically being in a public restroom.

Guess which kid is Fishman on this topic?

I feel for the last two weeks and 8 pages, this turned into the "Make Amber Justify Her Existence" thread." I should send Fishy an invoice alone for that.

It's always projection with these people, whether it's scat porn, cuckoldry, BDSM, trans-curiosity, pegging - whatever. If it exists, then some people are into it. Infinitely more so when their corner of society or their religion says it is taboo.

Who are all these supposed fly by night gender choosers?

This entire thread has fallen into the ditch. My point has been lost long ago, in a flurry of piling-on.

To be clear yet again, I was never arguing against altering one's anatomy, I was simply commenting on what might be permissible for people with natural-born *****es to do, if one can identify as whomever on a given day. (I'm sure you grasp that, and do so regularly.)

And yeah, I'm old and have lived a Libertine existence. (I could go into detail, but I'll spare you that.) I have never hidden in my home and pontificated online regarding what I have never experienced, as many of you seem to do, however... I just got out there and did it.

OK, that should be some grist for the hatred/superiority mill... Enjoy yourselves!

Also, the same "men" who say my community are bathroom predators are the same MFers who slide into my Instagram DMs with a dick pic saying "hey baby."

None of this addresses your slippery slope fears of men gaming the 'system' to sneak into women's restrooms or locker rooms for a peak. And stop playing victim it's not a good look.

Nope, this is exactly in line with the last two pages of discussion. You still want to deny rights to person A because of unfounded fears of what person B might do. No bueno.

All I need to know is this:

Cis women want their boobs done or a facelift and no one cares.

If i or another trans woman wants their boobs done or something else, we're constantly asked about regret.

I think you underestimate the ability of people to care about other people's bodies when it has no effect on them. Cis women wanting boob jobs are judged. Now, I'm not saying they are judged and asked questions about it to the extent a trans woman would experience. I'm just saying "no one cares" is not accurate.

In the tv thread a few weeks ago I mentioned a limited series on HBO called The Lady and the Dale. I posted about it after the first episode had aired, as it appeared (after that episode) to be about the very interesting story of a man wanted for fraud and theft in the midwest who disappeared, then resurfaced years later (in the early 1970's) as a transgender woman and was in the process of creating a car company out of nothing more than an idea for an automobile that got extraordinary gas mileage.

While the series was in fact about the efforts to create the car, it actually became much more, a very interesting story about that extraordinarily difficult times that transgender women face. While some people said that their efforts to shut this lady and her company down were ostensibly about "fraud" (it's questionable to what extent that occurred, although she may have violated some securities rules), the actual story was about how the authorities, and even more significantly, the news media, tried to drive her out of business solely because she was transgender.

The efforts to basically bury her were lead by a noted television journalist in L.A., who is a talking head in the series, and clearly has some massive transgender phobias. He isn't shy about his belief that because this lady, in his mind, committed a "fraud" about who she "is," she clearly must be committing a fraud in her business activities. The tv reporter comes across horribly in the movie, although he doesn't seem to realize it.

The series also briefly touches on the difficulties associated with the surgeries involved, and getting them.

It's an exceptional series and I strongly recommend it.

The trans-phobic tv reporter's name was Richard Carlson.

He had a son who followed him into the business by the name of Tucker.

This is what bullies do. Hurt people, make people justify their existence, and when called out on it, they begin gaslighting and start claiming they're the victim (see Carano, Gina).
