Fun Prevention: Red Sox 2010 season thread part 1

Re: Fun Prevention: Red Sox 2010 season thread part 1

You know its bad when you cant sell face value seats behind the sox bench.

Any other year you would have to pay double on EBay for any good seats, and now I am on my 3rd attempt to sell seats right behind the bench.

Hope this means it wont be so hard to get tickets next year.

and maybe this will get rid of the ******* mother*****ing Pink Hats once and for all.

No, the only thing that will rid us of those horrible creatures will be the glorious day that they stop playing that gawd-awful Neil Diamond song that I refuse to mention by name.

We'd have to finish in last place for 3 years to shake the pink hats.

6 back of the Wildcard...

6 game homestand vs. The Jays and O's then off to NY for 3.

I dont know if I should be excited, or just wish for it to be over.

2-3 years ago the Phils made up 7.5 games in the last 17 (or something like that). Required a Mets collapse of biblical proportion...so, I'm tellin' you there's a chance:D

This always happens. They're pretty much out of it, but wait! They just swept the Mariners! Now, they'll go on a significant win streak to get all the believers thinking it's posible and they'll come thisclose to end the season on a high note but go nowhere.

This will take care of that: http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/mlb/columns/story?columnist=edes_gordon&id=5578025 :D

Hey what do I know - the Yankees have been playing rather poorly of late, and their schedule for the rest of the season is quite difficult, I won't say that anything is impossible.

Re: Fun Prevention: Red Sox 2010 season thread part 1

What's wrong with hope? I mean, when the Sox didn't sweep Tampa, I knew it was more than likely over. And I was okay with that, with the injuries this year, I was happy with how they hung in there. Not as successful a season as I would've hoped for, but still good considering the circumstances.

Now they have gotten a bit hot, and are 6 back with 16 to go, with 6 games against the Yanks. If they can pull to 5 back come the 3 game set in the Bronx, then they are right in the thick of things. If they don't pull it off, no biggie, they gave a great run at the end that almost worked. If they ARE able to pull it off....wow.

Re: Fun Prevention: Red Sox 2010 season thread part 1

First pitch of the game was 9:22. It's the Sox-Yanks. DiceK is on the mound. It's now 10pm and the second inning just started.

This game should get over just in time to switch over to the Ryder Cup.

I was bummed that it wasn't televised. It was before Fox went on the air and NESN didn't have it because it was a Fox game.

Maybe they let V-Mart go so they'd have more to spend on Jeter? :p (i kid, obviously)
I'm sure both sides will work it out & things will be as they always are.

The Sox arent going to pay 45 mil for Jeter either. Lets be honest.

Save up that money for Crawford, and work out a trade for Gonzalez (Ellsbury, Kelly, and someone else not named Bard)
