Frozen Four - Where to Eat? Drink? Must See Stuff

Re: Frozen Four - Where to Eat? Drink? Must See Stuff

The Lobster Roll at Neptune is terrific, but a slight caveat is in order. My observation is that it's almost impossible to be seated at the bar or at a table without a 90 minute wait these days.
...unless you happen to know one of the chefs.....:D. Anything that you get here will be great!

I don't believe so. No one on the Matthews event team I've spoken to has mentioned a price either.

Thank you, that's great and I hope the place is packed to support the three finalists.

Best steak - while its a chain restaurant (and a bit $$$) - Ruth's Chris has amazing steak. Address is 45 School Street which is about a 10-15 min walk to the Gahdin. It is also across the street from the Omni Parker hotel where the Boston Creme Pie was first created.

Seafood - people have already mentioned Legal Seafood - there are several locations depending on where you are staying. Closest one to the Gahdin is near the Aquarium on the waterfront.
Thanks, Been to Ruth Cris before in Tampa, pricey is right but the steaks were excellent. Wish I could pig out on some pasta in North end(we did in 04 and what folks are saying is correct, the restaurant we went to in 04 sat about 50 people and it was awesome) but no can eat pasta so have to find some fish or red meat :)

Has anyone mentioned Jacob Wirth's near the theater district? I love that place. German food, tons of beer, piano singalongs. Fun.
There's Thai place on the same block that's phenomenal.

Sadly, most of my dining experience recently has involved places in Jamaica Plain or Roslindale and those aren't close the TD Garden at all.

No charge for the Matthews event, but the opportunity to buy memorabilia or make a donation. Contrary to popular belief, the NCAA does not fund nor sponsor the Hobey Baker Award. The Hobey Baker Memorial Foundation pays for the site, production, and ancillary costs. The NCAA provides support with access to teams, tickets, hotel bookings, etc.

On the campus of Northeastern University. About three miles from TD Garden, out by Fenway.

Take the Orange Line to the Mass Ave stop, get off and walk to St Boltoph St.

Or take the Green Line to Northeastern University, walk down Huntington, take a right onto Gainsborough, let onto Boltoph.

I was a big fan of UBurger in Kenmire Square when I was a student. Go there if you're visiting Fenway.

I'd also add, avoid B.good like the plague. They talk a big burger game but it's been a long time since I was that disappointed. McDonald's or BK would be better options. Don't waste your money.

I see that the Hobey will be awarded at Matthews Arena - where is that?

If you're around NU and hungry, check out Chicken Lou's on Forsyth. Right in the heart of campus, little rectangular sandwich shack. Mom and pop shop loved by NU students for generations. Get a heavyweight Tko or a hectic Lou, you'll thank me later :)

... and the site of the biggest art theft ever. Unsolved to this day, over 25 years later.

And that. Which somehow just adds to the oddball lore of the place.

Re: Frozen Four - Where to Eat? Drink? Must See Stuff

Why? I love that place.

You must like Five Guys as well. The greasiest fries ever...I wish they would bring back the old "Libby's" that used to be there during my school days ("Two BU!!!!") :)
