Frozen Four ticket location

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Fans are in four lower-bowl corner sections (ND's includes 114).

Bands have been in different places for different Frozen Fours. I'm not sure we'll actually know where Xcel puts them until we show up, unless you inquire with one of the participating schools or with the Xcel.

North Dakota is in 106 I believe.

Anyone know approximately how many tickets are "won" through the lottery?

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Here's your info about the bands...

Frozen Four Manual said:
Each band will be provided 50 seats for its use in Sections 212 or 227 during the game in which its team is competing. Bands will be seated behind each goal (upper level) in accordance with its team bench.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

As I sit here looking at yet another snow storm in the northeast, in April no less, the thought of a Frozen Four in Tampa has lots of appeal for me. :D
Agreed! In Central Ohio we had 1-2 inches of snow back on Wednesday. I believe it was the same storm you're now facing...

Snow on March 30th isn't any sort of record. But it certainly has been a snowier, longer than usual winter .

Meaning Michigan and Duluth likely have Sections 119 and 101. If anyone knows which is which, please chime in.

As Craig P. says, these sections are in the corners. They are however, between an endline and one the circles -- as opposed to behind the endlines.

Approximately half of the seating capacity.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

That's what I expected; it puts first round opponents diagonally across from one another.

Thanks for the info.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Bulldog fan here.

First year going and bought my tickets off stubhub, so don't really think i have priority but..

Got 2 seats in Club level 19, Row 3.

Hopefully they are good seats.

Congrats on the Regional wins!

Nope. You have to personally file the application in order to earn the point. If someone else applied, they can't transfer the point to you. Who ultimately attends doesn't matter for priority purposes. It's the initial purchase that counts.

I think you'll be pleased. I love Club Level at the X; The view is good all the way around the rink.

Now before we get too carried away, I should be noted that these seats are behind one of the nets, closest to the Notre Dame section. You may have preferred to sit closer to your fellow 'dogs. On the bright side, you'll probably be at the end where the Bulldogs shoot twice. For some reason the NCAA seems to prefer putting the participating school allotments behind their own goalie for two periods.

Last but not least, I suspect that these tickets were originally obtained in the public lottery. We haven't had any other reports from C19. But C19 is in the midst of sections that we do have reports for. The lack of reports probably just reflects the small size of the club sections.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

First off, there are no bad seats at the X. None. Of course if you want to get nitpicky (I want to see a play develop, therefore I like to sit near one of the ends or if worse comes to worse, close to the blue line) then yes, there may be bad seats. But for general sightlines, the X is the best arena around, IMO.

Second: thank God that the MI band is relatively far away from me if they are in 119.

Finally: I hope everyone enjoys their time here. As long as you aren't a d-bag, there's a lot of fun to be had.

And if you behave yourself, I will buy you a beer. Of course, you will need to show up at the Sioux gathering before the first game since there's no beer at the games. :D

From what I hear, it's not at Reid's or McGovern's or the Liffey. So I won't be at the Sioux gathering. :p However, if you show up at Reid's on Saturday night, I'm sure we can have a beer and reminisce about the season. :) Trust me, you'll know which group I'm in. We're rather loud.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

And if any of you morons haven't clicked the F4 link in my sig, there will be tailgating in a lot behind the Dairy Queen lot near the X before the games (look for the MN flag, then you know it's on). Stop by, and say hi. Beerdarts awaits, and so do many a good people.

It's at the RiverCentre. Where is Reid's?

This is from the 68-page Participant Manual...you can google it if you'd like to learn more and what was posted about the bands is correct, also 37 other seats designated to those with bench credentials.

Each institution participating in the semifinals and final may purchase 600 all-session tickets. Participating institutions are not entitled to complimentary tickets. The participating institutions must first
purchase tickets, which then are treated as complimentary tickets for the student-athletes.
Highest Seed: Section 105/106 Third Highest Seed: Section 114/115
Second Highest Seed: Section 101/102 Lowest Seed: Section 118/119

So I'm going to assume, North Dakota is in 105/106, UMD in 101/102, Michigan in 118/119 and Notre Dame in 114/115...

So about 2800 seats are reserved for the participating teams & fans which are being distributed this week and will be completed Monday - those unused go to any schools asking for more. The X capacity is over 18000.

Go BULLDOGS! I feel like a kid at X-mas...anticipating where my seats will be (somewhere in tUMDs Sections) and glad I passed on those singles in 205 row 9 that were on ticketma$ter last weekend-still no bad seats in the X...benefit to the upper deck is viewing all the plays develop, much different aspect then going to a local High School game and standing in the corners at rink level. Best viewing seats just might be in the lower rows of the Club section - even over the Suites IMO. Not too high, but you have that overlooking view.

UMD sent the tickets in email this morning. I'm in Section 102 row 1.

(Not on the bandwagon, but part of the old growth pine the bandwagon was made from)

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Hmm. Since I got C02, I'm behind the tUMD section. So I may want to try to work a swap with someone with tickets behind the ND section.

You are correct about the Notre Dame sections but weren't the Irish the lowest seed of the four participants? I thought the PWR was North Dakota 2, Michigan 5, UMD 9, and Notre Dame 11.

They aren't referring to the relative ranks of the teams that actually qualify for the Frozen Four, it's the relative ranks of the #1 seeds in the regionals they came out of. The semifinals are set up so that the winner of the regional containing the overall #1 as its one seed will play the winner of the regional containing the overall #4 as its one seed, and the winner of the regional containing the overall #2 as its one seed will play the winner of the regional containing the overall #3 as its one seed.

So for example, Michigan is considered "the lowest seed" at the Frozen Four, because they came out of the regional whose one seed was lowest in the overall ranking.

Except for the fact that BC was the #3 seed.
