Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!
Key's is awesome. I remember the one in Crystal, and then Key's wanted to branch out, and the owners of the Crystal location didn't want that, so they bought out, and renamed it DD's Cafe, kept everything else the same. Unfortunately, the father had health issues (it was family-run) and they shut 'er down a couple years ago.
However, Key's Cafe as it stands now still has the same basic food as when they started (AFAIK), although I hear they have expanded in menu. If they still have their omelettes like back in the day, BUY THAT. It's an omelette of epic proportions. And their cinnamon Texas Toast is f*ing awesome.
Edit: my friends' and my comparison of omelettes: Key's to Perkin's is like Chipotle to Taco Bell.
I think we're planning on being downtown a little early to have lunch and some drinks. We'll have to meet at a local establishment down there. I'd guess Smalley's, Hubert's or Kieran's.
And agreed on Keys. There is one close to work, I get lunch there regularly, very good.
