Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Yeah, because there's no way that Joe Mauer knows more about what makes it easier or harder to hit a baseball than you do. :p

Sorry, but there were plenty of players that did just fine there (including Mauer) with the trees...seems like much ado about nothing to me.

I will admit I am wrong though if the teams numbers improve by leaps and bounds though...my guess is you wont hear 6-4-3 and Co. saying they were wrong though when nothing really changes ;)

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Yeah, but that's because the left fielder died running after the ball, then the ball was stolen by a seagull and it took ten minutes to get it back.

Oh come on, he was just rounding first at that point.

With the recent temps, I expect many of the bar/restaurant patios around the metro to be open for seating, too. Some have those heat lamps, some don't. At this time of year, Minnesotans don't really care. If we can utilize a patio, chances are we're going to utilize a patio. When GLM was here for the F5 last year, it was about 40-45 degrees on Sunday, and the patios were PACKED. He was in disbelief.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

He has no chance of playing Interlachen. A course of that caliber is not going to open until there is no chance of causing damage by playing too early. I wouldn't be surprised if they fixed winter killed spots before they let people play. Snow would have to be gone now, and temps in the 50s for him to have a chance.

Next year will be the complete opposite for him.

You know what? Regardless, if Mauer wants it, you do it. :p

Sorry to interrupt the baseball talk, kids.
Some posters (and a few friends of posters) are doing the Goldy's Run Saturday morning, if anyone else is interested.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

One week for now, I will be on an airplane that will (for some reason) land in flyover country and leave me there! :D

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Guess who just got out of student teaching on Friday? This guy! So pumped! Now I don't have to drive from Duluth to St. Paul and back on Thursday and back down on Friday!

We've been trying for years to get them to stop doing that. (Allowing New Yawkers off the planes when they land here.):p

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

What does a cab cost from minneapolis to st Paul?
You'll get a better answer from a local, of course, but: I've been told it's in the ballpark of $40 from the airport to St. Paul, and the distance from downtown Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul appears to be similar to the distance from the airport to downtown St. Paul, so I might guess it's also in the same ballpar.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

and you'll be ready to lose to me at beer darts ;)
Sheesh, yes, I know that you want to play beer darts already, this is only like the fourth time you've said so. :p
