Re: Ford field attendance
I can't figure out if this is sarcasm or a serious opinion...
I mean how often do USCHO posters EVER admit to being wrong?
My feeling has always been it was a mistake to follow the trendiness of "outdoor" games and put this thing in Ford Field. But that's the only reason I find the potential of this FF lacking. Some people will like to find a bunch of things to do when they are in town for events like this, and as it has been pointed out, do a little research and come with an open mind and Detroit (and all of southeastern MI) has a lot to offer. Others will be there for the hockey and hockey related activities only, and they'll have fun too.
I think that it is sad that people really fear going to an event like this because of where it is being held. While I have been shot at before (no surprise there) it's never happened in Detroit.
People who go to the frozen four this year will have a good time in Detroit. They will come back here and talk about how much of a pleasant surprise it was.
This is what will happen.
