I had to reread this entire thread and I have not seen one mention that UW is going to "kill" RIT. Or anything else of that nature. Now I have not read every post in the UW thread but come on dude, lets act like an adult and stop the schoolyard crap.

I never said it was in this thread. I saw it somewhere, it may have been another thread, or maybe even another website. I meant to say some but accidentally said a lot. Anyways I wasn't trying to start anything I was just saying that it would probably help us if they thought it was an easy win.

The marvelous thing about the internet is that you can easily link to the posts that you are referring to. Please do so.

If you really want me to I will later but I don't think it is necessary. I was just trying to say that it would help us if you guys actually did think that way...I wasn't saying that all of you, or even most of you, do....Or at least I didn't mean to come off that way.

The reason I am "backpedaling", if that is what you want to call it, is because I have no interest in starting an argument about something as stupid as this. If you guys want to judge my motives then go ahead I don't really care. Hammer me all you want but regardless of what I typed I was trying to say that it would be beneficial for us if you guys were cocky like some of your fans have been. If you want to be naive enough to believe that none of your fans are cocky then that is your prerogative. The fact that you are so defensive and quick to jump to conclusions shows me more than I needed to know.

maybe Badger fans are defensive because you appear to be just making **** up to make us look bad.

I know I saw comments elsewhere and yeah no matter where I saw it it is probably a very small segment of Wisconsin fans...but I wasn't making it up. Anyways, that's all I have to say on this. I wasn't trying to make people look bad. I was just trying to add my 2 cents that got blown way out of proportion.

Regardless, it really doesn't matter what the fans think or say. If the Wisconsin players are out of touch with reality enough to take the RIT players lightly, then RIT will be playing on Saturday.

And ... I don't think anybody is taking any of the other teams lightly right now (there are only 4 left after all). DU and UNH didn't take RIT lightly, they were beaten. (I just watched the DU-RIT game again last night. My impression at the live game was that DU outplayed RIT but couldn't score. My impression watching again last night was that RIT really did at least play even, if not outplay DU. Obviously DU outshot RIT, but a lot of that was desperation once they were behind and there probably were closer to equal numbers of "quality" shots.)

I hope UW-RIT is just as much fun to watch.
And I hope to see a BC-RIT rematch!
(Nothing against UW or MU ...)

Thankfully Thursday is not that far away. Time to send off the Tigers tomorrow and start packing my bags for the long weekend in MI!

I've got to think that after beating DU & UNH (two solid well reputed programs the Badger played this season), RIT has the attention of Badger nation and certainly the players. If this were a first round game, there certainly would be the danger of Badger fans &/or players looking at the conference affiliation, auto bid, 4 seed, ect...and looking past RIT. At this point, I can't see any chance of that happening.

Regardless of what posts you might find on the internet, I think MOST Badger fans will expect a dogfight Thursday afternoon with NOTHING given to them. In fact, I expect a hostile crowd just by the nature of the Frozen 4 being a national celebration of college hockey as much as it is an event for 4 teams trying to win a championship. Fan's wearing their Minnesota, UNH, BU, Umass, Maine, ect jerseys that come for the event even when their teams don't make it almost certainly will take to rooting for the "unknown underdog" and create a hostile enviornment for the Badgers.

Anyway, there's no way that Wisconsin is taking RIT lightly. I think that Denver just came out and shat the bed, for the third game in a row. They weren't in sync all weekend @ the WCHA Final Five, and they really didn't look much better in the first round game. I'm not a Denver fan, and I can't speak for their players and coaching staff, but I think they looked right past RIT and it cost them. And, honestly, UNH wasn't that great of a team this season... I'm not even going to go there. I don't see RIT being able to keep up with our four lines for the whole game. If they don't score first they don't have much of a chance.

Not sure where the irony is since he was claiming that we were being cocky about our team vs your team. In telling him that he personally failed in his assessment, I'm not sure where I was cocky about my team in any way.
