Melrose feels like he has a good grasp on the pro game because he coached and has been such a large part of that community for so long, he can have that accolade. When it comes to college hockey he watches 5 games a year 3 of them at the frozen 4. You can almost hear him hee right before he haaws while he is announcing. Best of luck to Ferris State and it's following, nothing better than a Cinderella Story.

Don't expect me to trash talk our opposition Saturday night. Don't expect anything intelligible out of me, period. I'm still stunned that we've made it this far, and ****ed thankful for all of this in the first place.

I have no words. I never thought we would be here and I have nothing but pride for this team. They continue to work hard when no one but themselves believes in them. That's something pretty special. I'm amazed by how humble they've remained too, my parents made it down for the game and said after the win they saluted the fans.
BC is freaking ridiculous right now. There's a solid chance they're too good and I wonder if anyone can catch them. But this team has gotten pretty good at beating my expectations. Win or lose I think Ferris will give it everything they have on Saturday. No matter what they'll have something to be proud of.

Don't expect me to try to put this into perspective. I have none.
I'm extremely proud, too. I can live with whatever happens in 48 hours.
But we might be looking at Drago-Apollo Creed on Saturday night. They're just something else.

This is why I have made the wise decision to watch Saturday's game at the bar... celebrating... mourning... it all kind of blends together after a while.

When I get home, I'm watching it on my plasma. That way I can rant and rave with the doors shut and I don't scare the neighbors too badly.
This goes so far beyond my wildest dreams for this program it's hard to comprehend. I just hope the boys play like they can, without being reckless.

The best way to approach this game is to know one thing....
Anyone can win a one game playoff.
That being said, no matter what happens on Saturday night, this Ferris team was slated to finish 9th in the CCHA at the beginning of the season. They are in the National Championship Game now. That ride is worth everyone being supportive. The odds are against the Bulldogs that is for sure. Enjoy the game on Saturday and support your team. Win or lose, this is something that may not happen again for another 20 years.

BC just appears unreal. Like a machine with very few flaws. I'm incredibly proud of how far Ferris has come, but yeesh...I hope the championship game can be a little more competitive than this one.

Very well said. I don't think any Ferris fan should be disappointed Saturday, regardless of outcome. Certainly if the game ends up similar to what is transpiring with BC-Minn, it will be a very anti-climatic ending to the season, but you are right on with taking it all in and enjoying every last second.

Either way, not many teams get to say that their last game of the season was the National Championship.

Shaky start to the game, but they calmed down and seemed to get over the jitters and bad passing.
Not sure what to expect on Saturday as I don't see ferris as an overly agressive team like mimny was tonight. Just like in Detroit BC let the other team pretend they were in control and then score. Ferris can win, but they have to play the game that earned the ccha championship more than tonight.
I'll be cheering them on from section 209. Loudly.
