What a season. So much pride from all over the town for this team, and the pouring of support from others around the country is incredible. Zero draft picks, beating everyone's expectations, even their own.

They have a lot to be proud of, but the season is not over yet. Keep it going, boys.

Also, tip my hat to Cornell for playing a solid game. I am, for one amongst many, glad all the typical Ferris penalties didn't come back to bite the team in the butt tonight, though.

For sure. I was terrified that the 5 minute major in the 3rd would end up killing us. But the PK was awesome again.

I think I can safely forget that Bowling Green series now. I've seen six years, a lot of mediocrity, disappointment. But it doesn't matter now. Frozen Four!

I graduated in December 1996. That 96-97 team got their last win on January 25th. They won exactly 3 games after Winter Graduation that season.

The last win of that season? Cornell.

Hammer does not approve of any mention of a so called Bowling Green series that stung ;)

I believe Cornell had more penalties than shots on goal during those penalties. If you can take anything positive out of being a man down seemingly half the game, it's preventing the opponents from getting shots. Great effort on the PK tonight.

Hello all!

Harvard fan and alum. My Crimson was out of the running in the ECAC tourney but have been watching the recent games. Awesome game tonight against Cornell. I expected the 5 min would kill you but amazing PK and bounce back.
All the best to your team, a real accomplishment! Thanks for the great hockey to watch.

Hammer, I haven't been connected to the school and team nearly as long, but even I have experienced my fair share of pain. I can only imagine the joy you are feeling right now from so many years of mediocrity/terrible play. Happy for you. Happy for all Bulldog fans, really.

That's okay. If you're a student, these memories will be stronger and better as the years go by. The strongest opinions are formed during your student years. I'm guessing you'll always look fondly at the hockey program.

I don't mean to brag that I've been following this team for so long. It's more like years of frustration can now be vented. It's like a storm cloud just disappeared.

Now I'm realize...Tampa Florida? Really? When I think college hockey hotbed, I think Florida. Is there even a D-1 program in any of the Confederate states save Huntsville? W-Tee-F NCAA? How the hell is anyone supposed to get there?

I'd love to go. Not sure it's even feasible with games Thursday, I'd have to hope all four classes I have that day and the two on Wednesday were skippable haha.

Well, who else put in a bid that year? I remember in '02-03 everyone had a fit that a regional would be at Yost for the 2nd straight year. But you know what? They were the only one to put in a bid for that regional, so there it went.
