Probably not until the end of the period (at least that's what they do at Ferris games). The Dawg Pound that was there knew though.

Ferris has only lost 1 game at home. As a Ferris State fan, I would like to see Ferris play their playoff games at home where they have the advantage. While I would love to see them at Van Andel again, its not a home ice advantage for Ferris. Last game I saw Ferris play at Van Andel, they got smoked by Michigan 5-1. Its a pure money grab by Ferris when they allow their home games to be played at Van Andel.

I just got back from the game at Western. What a great hockey game, but Western was the better team tonight. They had more shots and cycled the puck better than Ferris did. In the end though, both teams had their chances to score and just couldn't do it. Either the puck just went off their sticks and wide, or they just missed the shot all together. You could tell it was senior night because Western was buzzing. Still, it was nice to witness Ferris winning the CCHA championship. When Western won in the shootout, Ferris was celebrating as much as Western was.

As a lifelong bulldog fan I couldn't be happier to have won the title. This is so well earned. It was almost funny when they showed on FSN how many teams had NHL draft picks and Ferris had none. I actually thought of it as a pretty awesome show of Ferris's talent. They are a true example of a team- you can have the best player in the country and not win games, it takes a team effort to be consistently successful.
That said I felt like we weren't really playing as much to win tonight as we were to 'not lose' (I could be wrong I only saw the game on TV). Western is a tough team and has definitely come far in the last few years. I think tomorrow night, on our own turf without so much to lose Ferris will put more pressure on Western. Nelson was great tonight though, I appreciated how the announcers commented on how he played with great confidence and skill.
Either way, I am looking forward to that new championship banner in Ewigleben!

A big shout out to the Ferris Fans at Lawson!!!! Westerns student section is as good as any I have seen in the CCHA!!! But we had one or two dawgpound members that keep things rolling in the bulldog section and the rest of the fans really cheered!!. The dawgpound held its own on a road game!!!!!! Its a Good day to be a bulldog!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with this too.
I think that in part this is what has helped this team stay so grounded. It will be nice to celebrate, but when the work is done and as you said there is still much work to do.

I was kind of saying that tongue-in-cheek about playing in the Van Andel. But, it would be nice if more than 2500+/- were able to attend Ferris' next game(s).
What I would like to see is something like WMU and FSU matching up for a Home and Home and Neutral Site (at the Van Andel) series once they are in separate leagues in 2013. I think that would be worth the "money grab" and could draw a pretty good crowd at the Van Andel from WMU and FSU alums and hockey enthusiasts in West Michigan and Michigan in general. And it would or could be a good way of showcasing the two "West Michigan" college hockey teams. Just a thought....

I saw a post on another forum that indicated you guys are about to pick up another recruit for next season. A D-man. I'm not sure how reliable the poster is, so I hesitate to mention the players name. If the info is accurate, I would expect to see something on the Heisenberg recruit site next week or soon after.
