Great win! Nagle was outstanding! One of his best games of the year. Those back to back saves in the second period really sucked the life out of UNO. Please finish this Saturday night!

Yeah, I figured last night's attendance would be in the toilet, with the students being on spring break and all. I wouldn't expect it to be much better tonight.

Right before the end of the second period I was thinking Nagle was playing a solid game but really wasn't pressured. He certainly came up huge when UNO turned it up. Killing off the 5 on 3 in the first set the tone but the game was over after these stops by Nagle.

The crowd was small but I thought the limited number of students and band members that were there did a great job. As typical for my year, I can't make tonight's game and Niagara's win makes it all the more important. Hopefully I can listen to Dom getting really excited tonight.

I'm just glad that it's a 7 pm start and not a 5:00 game.

Will you be saying that if tonight turns into a Quinnipiac/Union type of game? ;)

Seriously though a 2 hour extension could help a lot for tonight. I'm sure a solid amount of students will be returning at some point today. Having the game at 7 may fill a few more seats. I also agree with whoever said the crowd was energetic last night despite being very small. Nice to see.

And it's not over yet, but maybe it was a blessing we blew it against WMU? The Wolverines are getting hot and they showed that to the Spartans last night!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Not only is Ferris going back to the Joe for the first time since '02-'03, they most likely will be participating in the national tournament.

Congratulations on a great season :o

I still think we need one more win to be sure about the tournament. We'll see how the PWR shakes out tomorrow morning.

Yeah, can't be entirely sure. They stand pretty good right now, but one more win definitely will help their cause.

Things are moving around a bit, but we're #10 right now, and the top 14 will get in (the AHA has an auto bid and the CHA will get a 2nd team, one that will not be in the top 16). It's too close for comfort for me.

Interesting note:

Friday night, Eddie DelGrosso hits the post on a five-on-three in the first period. Was probably the Maverick's best scoring chance of the night and really took some wind out of their sails.

Saturday night, Delgrosso hits the post on a power play in the second period and they again don't get a great scoring chance for the rest of the game.

Things are going to be interesting with the CHA sending 2 teams to the Big Skate.

Grrrrr.... now I'm mad that I'm stuck in class til 5 all of next weekend Hammer. Or else I probably would be bugging you for a ride to the Joe. ;)
