Ferris fans in the know should be rooting for Michigan this weekend as well as our own guys.
Miami beat us 4-0.
No excuses. Miami was clearly the better team for 60 minutes. Sure, the officiating wasn't the greatest, but I've seen a helluva lot worse, and the referees had nothing to do with the end result. Miami was faster, beat us to the puck and had more energy. The scoreboard showed as much.
Miami did a very nice job of shutting our offensive chances down and carrying the play the majority of the night. Two goals off of bad bounces gave Miami the first two goals, a bad line change led to a defensive zone turnover, which led to Miami's 3rd goal on a 3 on 1. The 4th goal came on a delayed call where Miami got about 2 rebounds too many and buried one.
Outside of the power play, Ferris didn't do a whole lot offensively and it showed on the scoreboard. For the most part, Miami did a great job of forcing us to the outside on any rushes, and on sustained pressure, held us to the outside. Very very few point-blank chances, and Reicherd stopped everything.
Big game for Ferris tomorrow afternoon after a disappointing effort tonight, both on the ice and in the stands. This game should have been a sellout, and tomorrow's should as well.
well I am not so much concerned about the loss. I am concerned that their 2 recent games against top 5 teams have been like the acting of David Caruso. I will save my final opinion for tomorrow night.
Not. Happy. At. All.
You got the B2 feed, hattrick, or are you trudging over to the score update thread to talk with bueller and I?
I'm very comfortable with our goaltending. If we had this kind of goaltending in 2002-2003 we would have hung much, much more than a CCHA championship banner. You know which one I'm talking about.
I cannot say how much a absolutely love Pat Nagle. This guy is a stud. he just made 3-4 incredible saves out front - simply stonewalling some great tries by the Redhawks. you gotta love this guy!
If you wondered why Miami was #1 in the country through the entire first half of the season, there's your answer.
Gotta sweep U of M.
We'll see Miami at the Joe... and maybe down the street at Ford Field.
Wow, I never thought I'd see the day that someone implied a Ferris State National Championship.
