Another tough game. Tough weekend all in all. Can't blame Nagle seemed like he played well, granted America 1 feed is not the best but cant blame him for any of the goals. After coming off such a big high after sweeping Miami, these 2 loses dont sit very well, however its only 2 games, and maybe this will get the boys going a little bit. Hopefully Hennig, and Redmond will be back sooner than later dearly missed these 2 over the weekend, Hennig has been solid on face offs and the line of him Schmit and Bonis were really meshing, And Redmond what can you say about him just a great player puck moving defensive and almost good for a point over the weekend each and every series. Western had a bye week so time to rest but I believe the bulldogs will come out flying on all cylinders with a chip on there shoulders after this past weekend.

Again with all due apologies to my main man Hammer, you guys suck, I mean really bad suck. If the morons making the polls ever rank you turds Nationally again this year they are even more moronic than originally thought:rolleyes: Anyhow good luck next week against the Bulldogs.

No, the Bulldogs do not "suck". They are a good program that stresses defense. They are well-coached, and have one of the best players in the CCHA in Zach Redmond. They ran into a very determined Lake State team this weekend.

Having said that, I hope Hammer is a bit humbled this morning. After waltzing on to the Lake Show thread and informing us what a poor program LSSU has, I would think a little crow for breakfast wouldn't be a bad thing this cool, crisp November morning. :)

Really disappointed about being swept. I was thinking split, because we don't seem to play good up there, but turned out worse. I really think this team will play to their competition every weekend, which will make every weekend interesting.

We have lost to UAH, and swept by LSSU yet get 5 of 6 vs Miami, and beat Michigan. Thats head scratching to say the least.

You mean beat Michigan in a skills competition after they tied. Sorry, had to pull Hammer's badge out for that one.

Quite frankly, I forgot about this thread.

Props to LSSU. Over the long run, it doesn't change the issues that LSSU has with their program. But it is a nice weekend win for them, so congrats for that.

As for us, when you score 0 goals in a weekend, well, this is what you're gonna get. Sounds like Nagle had a bad game (mostly a bad 2nd period) on Saturday. It's gonna happen. But we've still got our own issues, too, like putting that piece of black rubber into the net behind the guys in the other sweaters.

Zack's out, although he said he's hoping to be back after Thanksgiving, so that's a good sign.

I swear, this team is more likely to score on kill than penalty play. Two PK goals tonight. Powerplay was lost again, each of the goals were really nice shots.

Solid weekend, but disappointing at the same time. Were letting points slip right out of our hands. Less then a minute left we gotta get those. Random thoughts from the game.

-I'm hoping not having Redmond is the cause to our horrible PP units. Still pathetic. Can't even set it up.

-Didn't really think we challenged Pisellini at all. By the way is this kid a transfer? Saw he was a sophomore, but only remember seeing Gill and Kuhn last year dressing up.

-Aaron Schmit = Chris Zarb clone. Not saying thats a good thing either.

Yeah, Nick Pisellini is a transfer from Quinnipiac. It's my understanding that Pisellini transferred to Western to be closer to his home in Illinois. Hooray location. :)

There was good reason why "**** it Zarb!" was a common saying around the student section. It's like that #5 is cursed.

Second time we've given up a goal in the last minute of regulation. We should have had that one in regulation, and although 4 points isn't bad, we should've had 6. Even though it's a tie in the NCAA's eyes, Nagle really looked sloppy in the shootout.

The score at the end of the 2nd was one of the stranger things I've seen. Live, I thought it wasn't in time. Not sure how they synced it, but not aruging with it. It was hilarious seeing them drop the puck for 0.01 at the start of the 3rd.

Us in the student section prefer Kuhn, he's pretty much the only goalie that talks and listens to everything we say and acknowledges us during warmups. lol

Hey Dom, it was great, a lot of us didn't think they had scored that goal at the end of the 2nd, but we saw you start celebrating up in the booth halfway during the review and knew we were good.

I agree. Did not no it was Ferris first ever shut out of Michigan State, so good to see that. Also good 2 see Alexander tally a few goals after last weekend hitting a few cross bars he was due to say the least. All in all thought Ferris outplayed MSU for most of the game, and when State did have pressure Nagle was there to close the door like he always does. Good to see the Dawgs get some press coverage as well on Comcast always good to watch them play on the road.
