Its too bad no one in the main leagues picked up Phil Ginand or Paul Chiasson for last nights game...

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Guys, FCH's operating costs have gone up and are now about $115 a year. Please consider a donation to help me keep up with the costs.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems transferring players from their bench to active to, cause I cant?

Sorry, there was a glitch related to the fundraising drive banner. It was resolved about 1pm Saturday 1/1/11.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

I would like to publicly thank those of you who have donated. I appreciate it very much.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Some of the January 7th stats have been posted (for a few hours now), some have not.
Is there another glitch?

The system tries to farm stats every hour on the hour from 8am through noon. All box scores need to be posted otherwise the whole process fails. USCHO didn't get the WMU-Alaska box posted till late today (after 8pm). It should be fine now. The farm date on the bottom right of the homepage is the latest u successful farm date, and if I muck with it (by, say, pulling games individually) I will post the status as an alert on the top of each page.

P.S. Thank you, Paul Thompson.

Defensemen suck. I don't even bother looking to see if there are any others out there to replace my horse**** D anymore. Theres just no depth in defensemen.

Right but can mean the difference between good and great performance for your team. Each of my new d-men average about .75 points per game higher than the guys I dropped. Theoretically, there is opportunity for 6 more points per weekend with those guys than the others.

That said, how are d-men rated in other hockey fantasy leagues?

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Who was it who was giving me guff for picking up Rondeau? He is averaging 3.3 points per game, where the next best is Pat Nagle with 2.7. Eidsness though is a bust as the #2 pick .. he is -1 on the year and the worst performing goalie of any goalie in USCHO-1.

More moves for me today (USCHO-1)
Successfully dropped Eidsness, Brad (North Dakota) for Heeter, Cal (Ohio State)
Successfully dropped Pisellini, Nick (Western Michigan) for Hunwick, Shawn (U. Michigan)
Successfully dropped O'Neill, Will (Maine) for Kostolansky, Brett (New Hampshire)

I was only saying it could be a somewhat risky pickup, as Allain would rotate goalies a lot last year and goaltending was one of Yales downfalls last year. They seem to have fixed that this year so far, though.

My understanding is Rondeau was injured and played in pain last year. He's healed and it shows in his game.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Monster night for me last night. 26 points from skaters (thanks mostly to 9 from Bryan Haczyk) plus two solid goalie performances gave me a 39 point day.
