Every now and then, he reminds me of the play-by-play I'd hear in my N64 Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey '98 game.

Still: considering that he's one of the biggest names publicly espousing college hockey, I'll take it.

George Commo - play by play for Norwich. He also did ECACHL back in the days of Empire and NFSN.

Sounds like they have BC homers calling the game. You would never know Q is any good. this is all about BC being the best and just not playing yet. :rolleyes: Get that enough all yr.

Not only that, but when Clifton went to the box: "Oh, GREAT call by the officials, definitely a penalty."
When Santini went into the box: "I don't know about that, I saw two guys fighting for the puck." :rolleyes:

Then after the buzzer went off: "I don't blame him. [the BC player] Anytime you get a free shot at Anas you have to take it.

So there's Melrose openly advocating hitting after the whistle. Good job.


EDIT: As someone who broadcasts games, I am guilty of the first, although I'd like to think I'm not.

Basketball is nowhere near as exciting as hockey. Coincidentally, the last time the National Championship game was bumped to ESPN2, it was also in Tampa.

Because ESPN has a contract with NBA, MLB, and NFL. So ESPN wants to market the sports it covers and those three sports sadly get more views than hockey.

Barry will beg to differ until they leave the building. He lives in an alternate universe. For some reason he gets under my skin.

Would love to see Billy Jaffe be elevated to the color commentator for the FF. Very knowledgeable about college game, doesn't say stupid crap, doesn't sound like an idiot, and would elevate the broadcast team dramatically.

Anything would be an improvement. At least he might know that they don't draft players at the college level

To be fair, the first period was rife with bad mistakes by BC.

Whatever else you can say about tMullet as a color man, he does notice a lot of little things, which BC made plenty of mistakes on that end.
