Re: Elmira possibly moving to First Arena?
Don't you think the College might get off their almighty rich snobby horses ***es and see what an opportunity presents itself even if it might cost a little more? The Domes are out in the middle of nowhere. Does the college even run bussing up there aside from for the players? I know the county busses don't go out there. I guess it would be something they should survey the student body with. "Would you go to games at the Downtown Arena close by the school if you knew you could walk and then walk to bars after and then walk back to campus at nights end?"

I doubt very much that the Arena could beat the current deal that the College has with the State.

However, I do not see the College having too much concern about those points. As much as it has it's "logical" points, there are certain facts that play a major roll whether we like it or not. The Domes are owned by NYS, they are an Emergency Evacuation Center, the State needs to keep them well maintained and ready for any emergency that may happen. Having the College as the sole tenants doing all the maintenance is a huge plus for them and I'm sure they will make it a deal the College will not/cannot afford to ignore. I, like many others just wish the best for the team, whatever it turns out to be, but! don't forget the Fans!!
