Elmira College

EC's schedule is out
  • 6 games against last season's final 4
  • Oswego Tourney
  • The rest against the {stellar} UCHC, Potsdam, Canton and some ex-UCHC teams
  • A month off in December
  • They've lost 44% of their offense with the '25 graduating class
  • No clue what to predict for this squad

This season's roster edition has only 6 upper classmen. I have absolutely no prediction for success, although playing {D1} Hobart on the first weekend after exhibition games against a couple of nascent programs should give a decent clue.

Anyone care to explain how the kid scores a goal, then gets shown the door for "persisting in misconduct" ??

3-10. Wow. This is sad. I don’t ever recall an EC team with this bad of a record.

The 23-24 team was so strong, but when you don’t have the aid to provide, you struggle.

Part of it is they lost their goalie so late, they never had time to replace him.

Losing Kyle Curtin to Utica really hurt and Brody Haynes GAA stats are up from last year, so you can give some blame to Utica for this. As a Hobart alum, I always respected the Elmira program,(our incredible Coach Taylor is an alum of Elmira) but I'm thinking financial stress is also hitting the budget of the Elmira Hockey program, as it is to so many smaller colleges in the Northeast.

100 percent. Look at the Elmira women...they are also a couple steps behind where they have been and even when the men's program had ups and downs, they were still very consistently a top 10 or even top 5 team throughout.
