played there my freshman year, then transferred to Oswego, personnal stuff, pretty good place to be for 4 yrs......
Well color me surprised. This very young edition of the Soaring Eagles seems to be gelling nicely together. After a lackluster couple of opening games, they handily knock off a ranked Skidmore twice.
I'm impressed with the hustle, the defensemen have become a bit more aggressive on the blue line, the goaltending is stellar, and there were some offensive flashes that reminded me of a much more mature unit. I believe the gritty influence of the graduate students has had a very positive effect on the team.
They don't have any superbly skilled players, but they all give 100% every shift. Can't ask for anything more.
Prior to 2006, EC was 42 - 7 - 0 all time versus Hobart. Since then EC is 19 - 28 - 3.
Considering Hobart's facilities, I'm astounded at the success of their program. Considering the facilities at a few other campuses, I'm also astounded at the demise those programs over the past decade. Shows what good/poor leadership vs. facilities means to the success of a program.
Looks like Elmira's inexperience finally caught up to them against a juggernaut of a program.
If it's Hobart vs. Field for this year's NCAA Championship, I'm taking Hobart.

What is the record over the last ten years? I can only recall a handful of victories. Hobart has out scored EC 25-3 over the last four games they’ve played. What are they doing right that EC isn’t?
