I know, but it's still fun to add a little perspective now and then. You can cite actual numbers all you want. They don't fit the narrative, so they don't count.
No...not a big deal to me. Lynah mentioned it and I found an article on it.
Quite the biased accounting. As expected.
the older generation fiscally banrupted us. the newer generation is morally bankrupting us. heaven help us what the following generation will do.
Activist liberal judges. And everbody smart.
Yeah, because giving people the right to do what they want so long as it doesn't harm anyone else is truly a bad thing.
Apparently the notion of "ability to consent" has no place in GOP spin zones. Then again, this is the party that refuses to believe in evolution and believes the Earth is only 4000 years old, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised
Good grief, Bob, use that brain you believe God gave you.

Conservatives wouldn't be stupid enough to call for a boycott over innocuous statements from a business owner. Or else we'd be boycotting all over the place. We just aren't rabid enough because fundamentally we just want to be left alone, whereas your folks want to ram their agendas down everyone else's throats and force everyone to endorse what they want.

And all of this research is designed to prove what?
1. I wanted to support the gay rights agenda by using Google.
2. I wanted to infringe on Bob's first amendment rights by pointing out what he said was patently false.
Other thoughts? In a blatant challenge to the legislative branch, Obama by executive order tossed out the Clinton-era welfare reform that required able-bodied aid recipients to work, saying the federal government will no longer enforce the law.
This follows the president's unilateral rewrite of immigration law, using an executive order to implement elements of the DREAM Act, which Congress refused to adopt. He also has thumbed his nose at the No Child Left Behind Act, and has put in place cap-and-trade carbon rules that were specifically rejected by Congress.
He can't do these things, by any reading of the Constitution. And yet he is. Because Congress, whose powers he is usurping, hasn't risen to stop him.
Your post says more about you than I ever could. Your insults don't phase me.Yeah, because giving people the right to do what they want so long as it doesn't harm anyone else is truly a bad thing.

Good article, though what it highlights bodes ill for our nation. Sadly many don't care about constitutional processes if they can achieve their ends by circumventing them. From the California Democrats' unwillingness to defend their standing laws when they don't like them to Obama's many foibles discussed in that article, respect for the legislative process and existing laws is eroding quickly. From what I can tell, there are basically two seriously compelling reasons to oppose Obama term II: fiscal irresponsibility (of which Romney would surely be even worse, so then what?) and a disdain for constitutional process which is summarized like nowhere I have seen in the Detroit News. This is also something that's not limited to Democrats, but Obama would seem to be the worst in this area.

just issue a directive.........Its called "leadership".
Much ado about nothing. Obama isn't granting waivers because he wants more layabouts. He's doing it at the request of the states who want to design their own presumably more effective systems. Waivers are commonly granted for No Child Left Behind requirements as well as with Medicare/Medicaid. Unsurprisingly Mittens was in favor of states getting waivers for welfare policies when governor...
On a larger note, it fits exactly into what I was discussing with Kep. All this obstructionism has gotten the GOP nothing except for the worst rating in polling history. All Obama need do is govern by executive order if Congress plans on sitting around with their thumb up their @ ss and good for him. Even on immigration if the idiot House majority won't act and the Senate majority filibusters everything, just issue a directive about who will and won't be deported. Its called "leadership" [by decree...who cares about rule of law anyway when it's "my guy" doing it?].
