Despite another eight inches of snow in some areas, it is a great day for hockey at Brown. University officials have announced that the show must go on, as tonight’s ECAC Women’s Hockey matchup between Yale and Brown at Meehan Auditorium will continue as scheduled. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.

The week I did not put in any musing questions, we are seeing some "interesting results".......

...Cornell's ECAC record no longer unblemished. Still unbeaten, but a tie with Clarky tonight. Shot count in the game was pretty even......
...As someone alluded to earlier, Clarky is starting to play better and ran their unbeaten string to five with the tie vs. the Big Red.
...Two other win streaks were halted tonight...Harvard fell to the Tigers and Dartmouth was shutout by Quinnipiac.
...Quinny Rookie got two more to run her tally for the year to 24.
...Brown had a 2-0 lead until late in the third, but were unable to hold on.
...Bulldogs won to gain a tie with Colgate in the standings, both of them still lurking for a playoff spot.....

What does all this mean.....Races for the various positions just heated up a notch. Most teams have 5 games left. .....
.....Cornell is pretty much guaranteed top spot, all they need is 2 points in their last five games.
.....Harvard still has a good line on 2nd spot, with Darty, Quinny and the Tigers in a dog (or is that cat) fight for the other two home seeds.
.....The final three playoff spots are held in a tight race by Clarky, RPI and SLU. Colgate and Yale are three points behind.
Not insurmountable, but quickly running out of race track. Yale vs. RPI tomorrow is a key game. Must win for the the Bulldogs to stay in the race.

Good Vision by you. When you posted this note Darty had just smoked Brown while Clarky had to squeek by them late in the third. Last night Clarky pulled the biggest surprise in the ECAC by tying Cornell while Darty got shutout by Quinny.

Congratulations to Cornell for winning the ECAC regular season title for the second year in a row......

Interesting that there's some chance of SLU missing the playoffs. With a game left against Union, Colgate @ Dartmouth/Harvard, and another shot at Clarkson and RPI, SLU is probably fine. But still. SLU certainly played Cornell tougher than RPI or Colgate.

One computer ranking (WCHODR) considering margin of victory rates SLU as 5th best in ECAC and just a sliver back of Harvard for 4th.

Rink Taxi the big winner, blowing the competition away, 12 of 14 right, well done.
Key to victory was predicting the Quinny vs UNH tie correctly
(Note that the Harvard - NE game went in the books as a tie, as per collegehockey stats)
