It may not work for anyone in this pool and making these picks-but i was once told many years ago(around age 13) that when taking a multiple choice exam, you stick with your first impression as you go through the exam(perhpas putting a small dot next to any answers you are questionable about). You are never so sharp and nver have so much adrenaline rushing thorugh you as you do as you first take the exam. The only reason to go back and change an answer is when a question later on in the test points out in some way that you made a definite error earlier. Then, of course you can go back to that question and change the answer. I have never questioned that advice-it worked very well for me over the years with things like the SAT and MCAT. Thankfully most of the tests used to evaluate me were of the multiple choice type-since i really don't know anything and that would have become obvious with any other sort of in depth questioning. About time i said this-Thank You Dad for that advice.:)

The only problem with that is I'd have to put a small dot next to every team :D :D

Went outside and it is pouring right now and the wind is starting to pick up. The ground is soaked and there are puddles everywhere. We have not even seen the worst of it and things are bad enough right now. :( .

You will undoubtedly be south of the landfall of this monster. Perhaps saving you from the harshest of the winds but adding to the rainfall. Here, we expect to be just north of this thing-a little less rain but much more surge and higher winds and more risk of tornado formation. The worst part of this may just be it's size-this could take 36 hours to pass through and a lot can happen during that amount of time. Hope you are OK down there.

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 2012-2013

OK so far. The biggest thing is that we still have power. My hope is we do not lose the power. My brother lives in Howell, NJ and I guess right now that he is in the bullseye of the storm. My daughter is in NYC and the subways are not running so she is staying home. You and Jennie be safe.
