ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 2012-2013

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 2012-2013

Predicting hockey winners is a lot like predicting political winners except you have less control over outcomes. But prejudice still attempts to trump arithmetic and reality.

1. Cornell (though I hope not)
2. RPI (and I'm serious)
3. Union (start of a downward trend?)
4. Harvard (If they had a good coach I'd rank them higher)
5. Colgate (hunch)
6. Dartmouth (I always pick them around here)
7. Quinny (it's that Acadia loss)
8. Clarkson (because they can't suck forever)
9. SLU (coach)
10. Yale (players)
11. Princeton (program)
12. Brown (because they can suck forever)

All of course subject to change!

Of course if they go to Minnesota State and lose two games I've still plenty of time to drop them back to middle of the pack too. I don't see that happening but my cherry colored glasses have failed me before!

It sincerely pains me to put Clarkson so low, but such a young team and losing their best player (Karpowich), leaving so many questions between the pipes, I can't rank them any higher.

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 2012-2013

If Brown wins the whole enchilada there are going to be a lot of red faces in this crowd :)

Vic - thanks for running this again. Hope you are feeling better this year.

Myself included once I make my picks.

I am feeling fine (except for a bout with kidney stones)
