Wow! I can feel the love all the way here .It's amazing that one remark by an M'ville supporter can rally the EC troops,circle the wagons and overcome any differences you might have amongs't yourselves.I admire that.CHEERS!

It looks like "Trash Talking" is a required course at Manhattanville. This is after all a game to be decided by the players on the ice. It would appear that some posters have a very thin skin covered with buttons to be pushed at will by others. Lets play !!!!!!

No ,just kinda wish I was there to take it all in as this could be my son's last college game and I've been taking him to the rink since he was 3 years old.

Your team won, congrats, you should be ashamed of yourself for not attending what could have been his last College game. If you don't attend their next game should there be one, double shame on you, you'll get no kudos for taking him to the rink since he was 3 from this poster

As much as I'd like to meet up with you again for another brew...
I don't think Elmira makes it. They don't deserve it.
2-5 in their last seven games.
Manhattanville is now basically even with them in comparisons. Manhattanville definitely gets Pool B IMHO and Elmira should be left out (and rightfully).
They sat on their lead in the 3rd period...the PP was stagnant and pretty awful most of the night. Elmira got caught playing Manhattanville's game most of the night.
Casey Tuttle had one of the worst games I've ever seen him play (sans maybe the @Oswego game last year)
Same old same old in Elmira...I hope they'll learn sometime sooner rather than later that playing your best hockey in the middle of the season gets your no where.
Hats off to the seniors.
Rusty Masters- you're a workhorse. Great career. You will be sorely missed.
Greg Moore- for the most part pretty steady and reliable D-man
Casey Tuttle- wish your last game would go down as something better. I know you'd like to have it back. But you won a heck of a lot games for EC in your four years. Wish this one didn't have to end this way.
Scott Gamble- Another steady d-man. Not going to score you goals or points. But man could he lay some hits when needed.
Wish it could have ended better guys. Thanks for the memories.
Hopefully I'll see a lot of you guys in Placid If i can get off work and make it up there.
Congrats to Manhattanville too. As much as I depise them. They deserved the win tonight and never gave up and definitely delivered payback from the 2006 NCAA Quarters game. Literally the EXACT same scenario. Valliantdefender...this beer's for you. Enjoy it.
Now go get your butts kicked by Middlebury, Oswego, Norwich, etc in the first round.

I just posted on the other thread that M'ville is prepared for everything or nothing including EC at Rye on Wed,and as for getting their butts kicked in the first round I at least realize that if Neumann can do it ,M'ville or EC can do it as both are superior teams to them.

Hey UC,M'ville's record of 0-2-1 against Neumann(last year) came in first weekend of play during the 08-09 season.Without pointing any fingers I know that all of those losses last year as this well as their abysmal 0-4 streak in Nov. occured before their goaltending situation was resolved and they settled on their backup.19 of M'villes 20 wins this year are backup goaltender wins .Their 'starter' this year is 1-4 with his one win against Leb Val.Sometimes numbers lie sometimes they don't.

what a game .."unbelieveable .Manhattenville should be buying lotto tickets with their luck ..tieing goal with 1 second on a play that was so obviously goalie interference with a seeing eye puck bouncing in ??..WINNING GOAL ON A CALL THAT WAS DISPUTABLE WITH THE NET COMING OFF but Everett would never make a call in favour of elmira might be considered a homer"" or maybe just gutless didn;t he call goalie interference but allow the goal the last time these teams met..shame on him....the better team didn't win tonight ..but's that's life and that's hockey ..SENIORS should be proud of their time here at EC and the rest of the team coming along has a great future..they should be in a playin game this wed but WHO KNOWS ..best to all it's been a fun season even with the ups and downs

I disagree completely.
You make your own luck and bounces and Manhattanville did that tonight.
The officials didn't lose the game. Elmira lost it. We had a weak performance from our goaltender in the biggest game of the season and sat on a one goal lead in the 3rd period and let Manhattanville dictate the play.

PREZ sometimes i wonder what planet " your watching these games from..heard that the video on the tieing goal clearly showed goalie interference ..but i guess that's part of what you would call" making your own luck

Valiant, I am with you sir not only did I tie my sons for years but I retied thousands on benches for all over the Northeast. I think I logged about 40,000 miles from Rink to Rink and I know I would do it all again. Youth Hockey turns little boys into some very fine adults. I don't know where your sons goes from here as DivIII is mostly the end of the playing road but I hope he gets out on the rinks and gives back. Where ever he winds up he needs to get in any program he can find and put those kids through the paces of moving pucks, skating and shooting.

It would have never got to that point if Elmira wouldn't have sat on the lead and only produced THREE shots on goal in the third period.
Also, two guys diving on the ice to block one guys shot in the final eight seconds was a breakdown defensively, allowing the defensemen to simply slide the puck over to the other D who got a clear look at the net without any immediate traffic.
I was watching the same game you were my friend. Maybe I'm just getting better at putting the Purple and Gold colored glasses away nowadays.

I agree with Prez, EC gave this game away, period. OT alone, one or two shots on net on the PP? Come on, no wonder they can't win the "Big games". Manhattanville s a good team, not great but good, a better team like Oswego, would have had a field day last night.
