Ebola - all or nothing?

Re: Ebola - all or nothing?

there are people on the manhattan subways who look like writhing septicemia displays, and riders sit next to them without a thought. There is no more disease-resistant population on earth. In the aftermath of the mistake, the roaches aren't going to be the only survivors.

lol

PLAGUE!! in YOSEMITE!

How soon before Congre$$ appropriates money to help California to combat the scourge?

Some biologist at Grand Canyon died several years back when he opened up the chest cavity of a dead mountain lion, and was hit with a full blast of pneumonic plague. It's a nasty way to go.

Yeah, I know. A kid in the area has the plague. Hope he recovers.

However usually the media goes bezerk when the bad diseases (plague, ebola, malaria) visit our shores. So far I have not seen or heard anything on CNN.

plague is domestic at this point (and is usually treatable with antibiotics), and malaria is both easily treatable and preventable. Ebola is a whole different class.

Re: Ebola - all or nothing?

Yeah, but it sounds like that vaccine they've been working on has been fairly effective.
