Ebola - all or nothing?

Re: Ebola - all or nothing?

No, actually not being quarantined has worked just fine. Kaci isn't quarantined, despite the best efforts of Paul LePage and Chris Christie. And no one in NYC is quarantined.

That's what they're trying to do, if Chris Christie and Paul LePage would just stay out of it and leave it to the experts.

His Mandateness' hands aren't clean, either.

Meanwhile back in Africa, another problem. Does the tetanus vaccine do more than advertised?

Oh goody. I was halfway through the article and was starting to question my assumption that they would reference Hitler, but much to my relief, there it was in black and white: "This is the story of Hitler's regime, blacks in America, South American Indians, and Africa. This is the story of most totalitarian and racist regimes, where a minority is perceived as disposable and inferior. Could WHO have become an instrument of forced human manipulation and eugenics? Who knows?"

You (and they) are just asking those questions, right?

Further research finds that there were batches of the vaccine that contained the hormone and the delivery protocols were a bit odd for a solely tetanus vaccine.

Contraception and sterilization are individual choices to be made by the person not the State or some organization.

Seriously. When did you become Flaggy's sidekick?

So if I disagree with the first sentence, you're going to accuse me of disagreeing with the second, aren't you?

Do you have any idea how many people would have to be in on such a diabolical scheme? And how unlikely it would be to find a cadre of people that large at an organization founded by do-gooders, staffed by do-gooders, and managed by do-gooders? I mean, at the NSA or the CIA, sure - the kind of people who join those organizations are probably pre-disposed to participating in secret plots. But we're talking about the WH-freaking-O. Do you really think kids go into their med school or MPH programs thinking, "gee, I really hope I get to work at the WHO someday so I can impose my diabolical eugenics plot on unsuspecting 3rd world countries!"? C'mon, Man!

Re: Ebola - all or nothing?

If the world blows up because of the doctor's death in Omaha, please. He was on death's door when he got here.

But to pacify them, here it is;:
OMG EBOLA KILLED ANOTHER DOCTOR HERE IN THE U.S.!!! WE NEED SANCTIONS! WE NEED CLOSED BORDERS! WE NEED A NATIONAL POLICY TO STOP THE SPREAD OF THIS PLAGUE (from God is optional)!!

Stay Calm. The Leafs will win again before the end of the year.

Re: Ebola - all or nothing?

the American southwest has a few cases of bubonic plague each year. nothing serious. so far ... ****, guess, I'm going to have to do something about the rats in the house. :)

Re: Ebola - all or nothing?

I believe the plague can be cured by simple antibiotics.

The use of antibiotics has reduced the mortality rate from about 50% untreated to about 10% treated. While nothing to rave about, it has made a big impact. It is still one of the more lethal infectious diseases we face. The antibiotics used are for the most part the older ones like the doxycycline derivatives and especially gentamycin and streptomycin(although in many case the newer discovered drugs are used). Because of the dosages necessary, however, their is considerable toxicity from the drugs and considerable morbidity.
