barry melrose is a clown, there for entertainment. There is a reason tampa fired after a couple gms, knows nothing about the game. is entertaining though

maybe trying to get pp ready for next game, no 4 pass rule at this srage billy ray melrose

That seems to be a common theme with Pecknold. For what ever the reason there seems to be a wide spread dislike for the guy.

Gee... I've never heard of such a thing. :rolleyes:

While I have a tremendous amount of respect for what he's done with and for our program, there are times when I wonder why he does some of the things he does. Getting on the refs is part of the job for sure, but that all has to be tempered given the situation. Alienating them never works to your advantage. I think even Schaffer has finally figured that out.

That happened to several of us the night of the 1996 Hockey East Final. :( Sheesh, what were these people thinking. Then again Jon, glad you will not be at the game. ;)

As much as I enjoy women in short skirts, I'd really like to see a hockey game and not tennis.

Schafer has the refs in his back pocket now but the rest of the college hockey "clique" seems to dislike him. Rand seems to be in the same outsiders group.

Gillies lets in a weak one and it's 1-0 Union. It's already looking like a much more exciting game than either last night. Two strong skating teams. I think Union has the stronger defense and PC has the stronger forwards. The key may be the goaltending.

Looks like a decent crowd in BPT despite QU's exit. Even heard a "Let's go Union" chant... something you don't even hear at Achilles on some nights.

Is Buccigross trying to be annoying, or is he just a natural at it? Forget Melrose, Buccigross is awful.

He's horrible at PBP. They're all about Gothisbere's play in the crease... but doesn't the new rule say covering the puck in the crease with the hand is a penalty shot? It's not closing on the puck but covering. That could have been called a penalty shot.

Took them almost 19 minutes to call the first obstruction hooking call. I thought the first 5 minutes were fairly wide open, but there had been quite a bit of obstruction holding and hooking in the last 10 minutes from both sides.
