There is no alternative. You are correct that we can use our imaginations to find a happy place for a little while, but this is the world we live in. If you had told me when I was a kid celebrating the 200th anniversary of a country I was raised to love would need protests to tell the government that we have a Bill of Rights I would have told you you were insane.

I’ve torn the cartilage in my left shoulder twice. That’s a long recovery period, and your range of motion is permanently diminished. She has it in both arms, and until it’s fixed, her arms will likely keep dislocating from her shoulder socket at seemingly random times. And her government did that to her, in addition to everything else, including mental trauma.

CNN's website says it's the longest at like 1 hour 46 minutes. Second was last year around an hour 39 min. We should go back to the President sending a letter to Congress like 1801-1913 if they're going to push 2 hours.

I had a short talk with the singer for a band I fill in with here and there. He's not fully MAGA but... he still is.

My takeaway confirmed my belief that the cult members and cult-adjacent folks alike simply live in a different reality. Some nuggets from singer:
  • Tariffs didn't raise any prices, that's a lie
  • Prices are down, inflation is zero
  • The Dow!
  • Unemployment is perfect, the only people out of work are the lazy
  • Illegals vote relentlessly and commit fraud constantly

These aren't opinions, these are falsehoods.


edit: forgot a few
  • January 6th was a Fed sting that backfired and is Pelosi's fault
  • The Biden-Harris switch is the literal definition of fascism
  • Voter ID is absolutely necessary and should cost money, and dismissed me when I mentioned that poll taxes have been illegal for a century or more
