I had a short talk with the singer for a band I fill in with here and there. He's not fully MAGA but... he still is.

My takeaway confirmed my belief that the cult members and cult-adjacent folks alike simply live in a different reality. Some nuggets from singer:

• Tariffs didn't raise any prices, that's a lie
• Prices are down, inflation is zero
• The Dow!
• Unemployment is perfect, the only people out of work are the lazy
• Illegals vote relentlessly and commit fraud constantly

These aren't opinions, these are falsehoods.

• January 6th was a Fed sting that backfired and is Pelosi's fault
• The Biden-Harris switch is the literal definition of fascism
• Voter ID is absolutely necessary and should cost money, and dismissed me when I mentioned that poll taxes have been illegal for a century or more

It was bad policy to create programs to help them. The Right is right about one thing. Target aid to allies. Plow the enemies under.

I hope we can finally grow out of the idiocy of going out of our way to extend human rights to those who gleefully deny them to others. It is time for the liberals to grow up and realize the Right will always try to murder them.

So get them first. We have carried them for tens of thousands of years. Drop them and help one another. Let the animals fend for themselves. Fence them into Religio-fascist reservations.
