Dump Term 2, Part 2: "A third term would be a big shattering."

Are you supposed to be making a point with that reply?

Anyway...

This is what it feels like hearing the average MAGA speak:

Stalking, murder, and weapons charges, but no terrorism charge for the white guy. I can't imagine why that is. Let's have a look at the federal definition of the term:

1. Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate U.S. criminal laws.
2. Appear intended to:
– Intimidate or coerce a civilian population.
– Influence government policy through intimidation or coercion.
– Affect government conduct through mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.

3. Occur primarily within U.S. territorial jurisdiction.

My point is this. The Department of Justice is prosecuting this guy, and they are doing so expressly for the purpose of bringing the death penalty to bear. Does it really matter all that much to you why they execute him?

Also, and again not that it really matters, but did you know that Minnesota has it's own criminal terrorism statute under which Boelter could be prosecuted. Doing so would add 50% to his sentence, yet apparently Minnesota chose not to do so either. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25976329-state-of-minnesota-vs-vance-luther-boelter/

Why can't you ever answer something straight-up without deflection or obfuscation?

Your article clearly states that he, "may face the death penalty if convicted" but more to the point, yes not charging him with terrorism lacks principle and consistency. Murder a rich CEO? Terrorism! Murder some libtards with the goal of killing dozens more? Nope.

Why do you think not a single Republican attended any of the funerals for the murdered?

This is about messaging and MAGA continues to play the part of The Empire.

The why is definitely important...are you serious?

And the Minnesota Law won't matter...the Feds are going to lock him up for life the State Trial likely wont even happen.

So, the Minnesota Republican Congressional Delegation penned a letter to Canada asking them to do something to mitigate the wild fire smoke that has been crossing the border.....

Good luck with that letter, I think it will be "86'd". and doing this while voting to roll back pollution and air quality standards on this side of the border.....

I'm at the point where it's like watching someone eat literal human excrement with a smile on their face.

Truly incredible not a single Republican attended. The fuck kind of country do we live in.

They’re asking that every day, around noon, the entire country face north and blow with all their might for ten seconds.

I am serious.

Jeebus, you guys get your undies in a bundle over the most meaningless things. I don't think I've ever seen a group more enamored with style over substance. To me, it's completely meaningless that they charged Luigi with terrorism, and just as meaningless that they didn't charge Boelter with the same. They both committed murder, and they are going to be prosecuted for it.

Timothy McVeigh. Clearly a terrorist. I doubt you can find any article on him where some form of the phrase "terrorist" or "domestic terrorist" isn't used. He will pretty much be remembered that way in perpetuity.

I don't think he was ever charged with being a "terrorist" or "terrorism." In fact, I'm not even sure we had the terrorism type charges back then that we do now.

Pretty sure he's still dead though. Is his execution less meaningful in some way because it was simply for cold blooded murder, as opposed to "terrorism?"

I get it if the label brings extra punishment (or yes, slappy, potential punishment) to the table. But as I pointed out, the Feds can execute Boelter for cold-blooded murder, just as they did McVeigh.
