Again, let's recall. Donald Trump ran for election on three different occasions, and not once did I vote for him. I suffered from no illusions as to what a Trump presidency would look like again.

Not offended. I’m surprised. I take you for being smart and well-informed. It isn’t just the Cafe saying “this is so much worse than 2016.” I mean shit, we (except you, I guess) all knew it would be worse than 2016 if he won. And it has been. Objective news sources like ProPublica, the AP, Reuters, etc., are reporting on this shit, and how different it is (worse) than 2016. I don’t need social media or the Cafe to tell me that. I come here for the camaraderie.

If people want to accuse me of being smug or condescending, sure I can see that. If people want to claim that I have posted opinions that people tend to overreact to events that happen, or that I believe our institutions will protect us, I absolutely posted those opinions.

But people use that, and run with it miles beyond my original statements.

You are definitely smug and condescending. “Get out more. Do this, experience that. You’re overreacting because you’re on Cafe too much.” Nah. It muddles your already muddled, coy messages. Also, no one runs miles beyond your statements. You’re overreacting.
 
Apparently Dump and Putin discussed having hockey games between NHL and KHL players in the US and Russia.

The NHL went “no comment” on said news.
