The Army Corp of Engineers restarted some federally operated pumps that had been offline for three days for regular maintenance. Those pumps operate in the Central Valley and can only move water around as far south as Bakersfield i.e. nowhere near LA. LA gets its water from other areas and of course did not have water supply issues during the fires, as the primary issue was a lack of water pressure and flow rate to get it from where it is kept to where the fires are. So nothing actually happened and he's claiming credit for it, per usual.

He's been slogging away with them since 2008, but we're still crossing our fingers that they might make it some day....
