I'd say cold is an excuse, security is the real reason. I'll be working in the shop all day with Spotify on.

Trump launched a meme coin and just made billions. Between the Saudis and his moron fans he is going to end up as rich as he pretends to be.

The rug pull is going to cause a lot of pain...the Saudis will be fine.

I think he's just a coward. That bullet melted the fear center of his brain and he's now got an elephant's foot of radioactive fear doing untold damage to the rest of his brain

He isn't afraid...word around DC was hotels weren't selling out and with temps in the 20s it was going to look empty. He doesn't want a repeat of 2017...only worse.

Also Trump is going to block the TikTock ban which is making him look like a hero to the applesauce brains throwing a fit about it.

All Trump can do with TikTok is give it a 90-day reprieve and only once.

after that it goes back into effect. He can choose to not enforce the ban, but he can't overturn it. It would take an act of congress.

Not like I'm going to watch this sh*t either way. In 2017 I watched him get inaugurated while on vacation, sitting at a bar in Jackson Hole, drinking my lunch and doing my impression of him for other patrons.

This Monday, I'll be at work. It's fitting that I don't get MLK Day off at this company, since his legacy continues to be shat upon by the electorate almost 60 years later. Frankly, there's not really much joy for me in making fun of Dump any longer.

It’s worse for anybody currently holding a mortgage than the people who get a mortgage after the deduction is removed. The banks and mortgage companies have used that tax deduction as cover to lever mortgages than they were able
to afford prior to the deduction being enacted under Reagan(?). In the end, home values will go down, and mortgage issuers will see less profit. We may even see mortgage rates drop, too.

Kind of related, I was reading about how some Texas residents are fleeing (as if there aren’t other breaking points already) because they fear the newly approved school voucher program is going to tank their home values

Hey, to be fair, a conservative registered Republican nearly shot him, and the inauguration is going to be full of those, so I would be worried too.

Believe me I know...my SO and I split our mortgage and she has a condo (my parents love there) that is another mortgage.

My (former liberal) father, who defends Trump is about to understand what the Dildo of Consequences is because I can't protect him from what's coming. He is 74, lives on SS, we reduce his rent, he is on Medicare and he has no savings.
