I want someone who understands this is a knife fight and brings a figurative gun

I want someone who was a high school football coach from rural areas

I want someone who was targeted by a plot to kidnap them because they'd actually understand the stakes

I want someone who hates Elon musk so much they need to be on beta blockers.

No. This was something different. This wasn't a case of hypocricy or American Exceptionalism or ignorance or arrogance leading to screwing others over for American self interest.

This was petty, cruel and entirely about Trump. This was betraying not just an aly in Ukraine but all of our allies in Europe simply to foster a world that can be run by mob bosses and kingpins. It did nothing to promote American interests, and only served to make evryone in the world except Putin and his allies less safe.

This American "administration" is a bad actor in every sense on the world stage, and should be treated as such by any nation that values democracy.
Just as any other anti-democractic nation would be treated.

That's not really what I meant.

I meant that the US has done so many things in the past that we should not be looked up on.

I get this was a very different level of the US being stupid. Very different level. Who knows if we can ever make this back up.

Almost the entire federal apparatus was built out in FDR's first term. Everything domestically is fixable. Our status as the lone superpower distracting everything is over.

OPM is supposedly looking to cut workers at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, one of four public shipyards owned and operated by the US Navy. Portsmouth does maintenance on the Navy's growing nuclear attack submarine fleet and is currently being expanded to handle more and newer submarines.
