The first guy with eligibility left came out that same year, too. George Morrison, with 74 goals in two seasons :eek: signed with the St. Louis Blues. The GM was Lynn Patrick, Craig's dad, and I can still see George and Mr Patrick chatting in the lobby of the Broadmoor during the '69 FF.

Don't forget Dryden in Montreal, he set the NHL on its ear by winning the Cup after his late season call-up and winning the Rookie of the Year, the following season. :eek:

I remember Phil Espositio saying about Dryden after losing to them that "the ********** giraffe robbed me."

I remember Phil referring to him as "that thieving Giraffe" more than once.

Chambers has an injury update on the Pios in his blog. Looks like Gifford will play this weekend and Martin and Wrenn have both started to skate but will not play this weekend.

I thought Peter McNab was an American, but no, born in British Columbia.
Didn't move to the US until he was 14.

Came to DU to play baseball from San Diego. Murray let him get a shot with the hockey team as Murray was friends with his dad, Max.

Since we're bringing up old names, I have a question for Swami. Do you know how Geno is related to Tom and Ron Peluso? How come Geno wound up at UMN, couldn't get into DU because of academics, or money?
