Drunk Minnesotan of the Day

Re: Drunk Minnesotan of the Day

fritz, you're going back a good amount of time to find these. The Sydor link is especially disappointing given the high amount of press it got on this site at that time of it happening - 80 days ago.

Re: Drunk Minnesotan of the Day

Besides which, he's not REALLY a Minnesotan, just lives and works here now. He's worked here for about 5 years and he's 43 years old. Might as well refer to him as a drunk Albertan instead, or drunk Texan as he spent 10 years or so with the Stars and one in Houston coaching the Aeros. At least here he went into treatment and may pull himself out of it. Had he done that in Sconny, he could have run for office after being stopped.:p

Re: Drunk Minnesotan of the Day

This thread is cute. The drunk Minnesotan is but an amateur when compared with the Wisconsinite.

Re: Drunk Minnesotan of the Day

Actually, that was released in September, a full 22 days prior to the Sydor story you linked.

I love when old people try to master the Internet. It so frequently leads to laughs when they completely fail.

Yes I cede obesity, obnoxiousness and lack of football acumen.

I think the thing that irritates people from Minnesota about this thread
is what they see in the mirror.

Not in the least, the fact that there are drunken Minnesotans is a well known fact. Half of 'em post here already!

The telling part to this thread is that you're looking for truly tragic stories to post when the Drunk WI thread has humorous stories that end in some funny outcome, often nobody permanently hurt - except for those innocent deer.

Re: Drunk Minnesotan of the Day

Not irritated. Perplexed that you take it so seriously.

Although this kidding around can have serious effects. As a result of what is often said in this board, I used to stress over whether I was a stupid, toothless, backward Nodak or a boorish, drunken, deer-humping Wisconsinite. After a near fortune spent on therapy, Dr Hirsch has helped me understand that I am all those things and that that is OK. More importantly, he has helped me understand that it could be worse.
