Does Brown care about women's hockey?

Re: Does Brown care about women's hockey?

Probably could be or should be "Living in the Land of the Lost". hahaha.

Actually not that creative...my initials are LLL. :D

3 L's, huh? A little alliteration?

I guess you are glad that your mother didn't name you
Quentin Quincy Quaid Quintrell

or we wouldn't be able to use that name on USCHO... (say the quantity and letter phonetically). :p :D

Re: Does Brown care about women's hockey?

I remember loving Hogan's Hero's with Bob Crane as Col. Hogan, vs. the none-too-bright Col. Klink and Sargeant "I know noth-ink" Schulz.

I had no idea at all at that age what the swastika was supposed to represent, just that it was shown all over the place in my favourite show. One memory I will never forget was that one day during art class (probably kindergarten) I innocently decided to copy one from the show for my fingerpainting, and was mortified when my teacher suddenly freaked out on me, took away my painting and explained that I should never do that ever again.:o

A little Hogan's Heroes trivia:
In real life Sgt. Schultz (John Banner) was a practicing German Jew, and Col. Klink (Werner Klemperer) agreed to the role on the condition that the Nazi's would never be portrayed in a positive light.

Now on with the discussion as I believe we may be on the cusp of solving the perceived "problem(s)" with Brown Women's Hockey! ;)

Re: Does Brown care about women's hockey?

My all time favorite was Hugh Beaumont, Barbara Billingsley, Tony Dow, and Jerry Mathers as The Beaver!

Re: Does Brown care about women's hockey?

A show that was mindless, but funny was Get Smart.....as Maxwell used to say "Would you believe.....":D

Re: Does Brown care about women's hockey?

I liked "Ward you were a little hard on the beaver last night"

Yes, as we matured, we read other things into "the Beaver" comments, making the show funnier. Was never really one of my favorites at the time.

Get Smart, on the other hand I always found quite funny. And the sports cars he drove ... (A Sunbeam Tiger I believe?) :D

Full of hilarious double intendres in retrospect and with another memorable theme song......Roger Ramjet and his American Eagles Yank Doodle and Dan.

Why should Brown care about women's hockey when the posters to this thread don't care? Leave it to Beaver? Right, that has everything to do with women's hockey at Brown.

We interrupt our regular scheduled "Walk Down Memory Lane" to bring you this Public Service Announcement:

It isn't that we don't care about women's hockey or the Brown program; it is that we don't feel that the topic needed three separate threads dedicated to trashing the girls, the coach, or the program.

Now back to our regular programming....

How about "I Love Lucy" all time best show. Introduction to the three camera filming technique and live audience can be credited to Desi Arnaz.

I have NEVER posted on a site that trashes the girls on Brown's Hockey team. Au Contraire, mon ami! The team members ARE my concern. ALL of them. No blind allegiance to authority, here. Just ask Hux....

Perhaps you have not bashed girls specifically, but by coming on here bashing the program, you are indirectly bashing the girls that play for the program. It is more than obvious that you have some issues with this program, coach, AD, or whoever else involved with Brown. Wouldn't it be a better use of your time to address the program or coach directly, as opposed to starting three threads to deal with your discontent with said program.

Now back to our nostalgic look into our childhood. Back on the topic of "I Love Lucy" anyone have a favorite episode?
