Well, it used to be ECAC West, but that conference has weakened significantly lately with the new additions and the departure of RIT. It's become another two team conference. In the East, I'd vote that NESCAC is now the strongest overall.

There has been no new additions to ECAC West. Stevenson, and Canton are both independents.

No score after 1 shots 10-8 Amherst reflect pretty even zonal play both goalies look sharp

I would say he had goaltending up his sleeves....Diddo for the Cortland State game DM must have been on her game..looked like they put 50 on her....that little Rocket!:eek:

Alright...
If Buffalo State, Chatham, Cortland, Neumann, Oswego, Potsdam or Utica make it to the final four and beat a western team, I will send you $100.

The key word in my statement was "mostly".

WOW! WHere are you from Forum54? No need to bash girls or teams . Girls on all teams have worked hard to get where they are. My d had her choice between one of the so called Cupcake teams you mention and Elmira . She choose a school for education reasons and it was a better fit for her all around . She knew Elmira had a better hockey team but anything can happen year to year and she loves her experience and her Teammates. Win or Lose

so a team is only not a cupcake if they make it to the frozen four? that is pretty much what you're saying. interesting standard.

Where did I bash the girls? or the teams for that matter? I challenge those teams to prove me wrong.

Where did I say that??? Seymore mentioned the final four, I just listed teams that I don't think will be there.

Considering Plattsburgh and Elmira have outscored those teams 65-5 so far this season...they aren't exactly making a good case for themselves.

I definitely wouldn't put Utica in the cupcake group (3-1 and 4-1 to Elmira). And Neumann beat St Anselms (yes, I'm still shocked).

But Neumann also lost to Cortland...I agree Utica isn't a cupcake...however, I don't think they will be in the final four. That would mean they beat Plattsburgh and Elmira in the ECAC-W tourney and won a playoff game...do you think that will happen?

Yes, I'm looking for food right now...

And no, I don't think that Utica beats Elmira and/or Plattsburgh but it is not out of the realm of possibility either....

And, hey, I'll take the $100 offer if Seymore won't. It doesn't say I have to pay anything if I lose just that GoJackets will give $100 to me if I win. That's my kind of bet! :)

Ok look at the shots please . It something like 46 to 15 I beleive . The Cortland goalie stood on her head and then some . I give them credit. Neumann beat them the following day. Neumann is alot better then the stats show . Beating St. Anslem was not a far cry at all . They have alot of talent. Main Issue is they have 3 new goalies(that are doing OK but with no experience ) and a new coach that is trying to play her Freshman recruits in key situations more than her experienced seniors (who are the far better players ) With the old coach this team would have a couple more wins . Not against Plattsburgh but definitley Oswego.
