Division III score updates - 2013-2014

Re: Division III score updates - 2013-2014

I'm bored and waiting for laundry to finish...so I flipped through schedules of contenders..

Gustavus had a 7 game shut out streak in 08-09
Elmira had a 7 game streak in 02-03 to start the season

Gustavus had a 6 game shut out streak in 04-05
Elmira had a 6 game shut out streak in 04-05

Multiple teams had a 5 game streak. Looks like 8 is the record.

I question the 13 shut outs for Statz...The most shut outs Stevens Point had in her years was 11...

This list of records doesn't include shutout streaks, but if this is accurate it means Plattsburgh's Sydney Aveson is now at 23 career shutouts, 4th all time and three away from the leader, Nicole Elliott of Manhattanville 2002-2005.

It seems likely she'll finish her collegiate career as the all time shutout leader, and if she wins 15 more games she can take Statz's all-time career wins mark too.

Its unlikely that she will keep up the pace, but with 27 points through 8 games, Isabel Waidacher is on track to break Laura Hurds single season point record.

The Waidachers will be all over that r ecord book for the Finlandia games

Re: Division III score updates - 2013-2014

what happened to all the D3 fans. This board is boring now :(

I have been lazy and posting scores over on the NESCAC thread. NESCAC action this weekend is all non-conference, run up to the break. Will be interesting to see how things shake out with Bowdoin and Amherst visiting Norwich...GO U BEARS!!!

I was saying in General, not just in the scores thread. Maybe the nescac thread is going strong. I mean there was no chatter about the Panther/Cardinal classic or whatever its called last weekend. I don't really tune into the nescac thread, maybe i should

2 big series in the West this weekend are Adrian @ St Scholastica and the Superior/River Falls series. If CSS sweeps Adrian, they will have put themselves in the drivers seat for the NCHA. I'm predicting superior gets at least 3 pts from River Falls. (if they come out and play tonight)

Adrian getting drilled by St. Scholastica 7-2, early 3rd.

Well so much for that idea

We all know which conference offers the strongest, most challenging day in day out grind to the playoffs!

Re: Division III score updates - 2013-2014

Here's a link to an amazing event Hamilton College and Utica College held last night. $4,000 raised for charity!

I would second that. This was an excellent, physical, emotion filled game with both teams leaving everything on the ice last night. My daughter plays for UC and this game has a profound effect on her in what this game represents, especially when the family walks in to locker room to meet the girls. It's events like this that bring out the best in this great game, as well as college athletics in general.

St Scholastica and Adrian tied at 1 after the first. Nina Waidacher with the goal for CSS and Kelsey Kusch for Adrian.

Re: Division III score updates - 2013-2014

Hannah McGowan scores a PPG with :29 left. Adrian beats St. Scholastica 3-2.
