DIII NCAA pairing speculation

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

Hey dogwatcher,
Where do you get your facts? They are so false its funny. The ncaa won't let RIT broadcast online because fasthockey is a ppv site. They school has been working to get that issue solved. If its such a problem get in your car and drive here.
Well the mens game is starting the second period, I'm out.

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

And who from RIT is complaining about not getting the bye. If you talk to people around here you'll get a different response, they're happy to be playing this weekend.

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

Funny it"s not about money and pay per view in the same staement. Personaly I would be glad to pay and yes it is another example of the Ncaa having an adverse effect on the sport and it's fans. However they knew the rules goin in and certainly had the expectation of being where they are. So I guess the problem is one of poor planning (not getting out in front of it soon enough) or just apathy either way poor job by a great program.

You sure about this? Games have been available from this PPV provider all year at other venues and First round games were broadcast via Fasthockey...why would it be any different at RIT?

Not listed on Fast Hockey schedule. Only live stats and audio listed on RIT and Adrian websites:(

Right, Thanks, prob follow along on the audio...at least they have that.

I guess I was questioning RIT Fan's statement that RIT were not able to broadcast via PPV because the NCAA wouldn't allow it? I don't get that...

I am no RIT fan, but I suspect that the NCAA wants to make sure only they themselves profit from any event under their aegis. Therefore (a la Midd) if you webcast, it better be free and probably have NCAA approval and copyrights all over the broadcast.

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

Well...there's no missing your point you keep repeating it all the time...

Anywho....I'm now more curious in your statement that teams in the MIAC & NCHA graduate those kind of numbers and almost graduate those kind of numbers every year. Can u elaborate on that?

Superior graduated 9 last year, 7 in 07,
River Falls 7 in 08
St Thomas 7 last year
CUW 11 this year

etc etc no one crying over these seniors staying home
