DIII NCAA pairing speculation

Wow, 'bear.... you made it home through the weather -- congrats. And you pondered the imponderables while avoiding the puddles and poodles --this does look like a realistic way out of what was a WICKey-sticket for the NCAA...sadly at the end of each winter season a little rain must fall on some program. If this turns out correct as you usually are, then I will be more in awe of your observational powers and keen reportorial skills than ever. Your skillz are legend!

It was a bit dicey going up past the Snow Bowl and encountering a snow plow stuck in the midd of the road, not to mention the hydroplaning all the way down I-91, but the Civic knows the way home (and I did have time to ponder the unknowable for 5 or so hours).

Why do you see UWRF at GAC? RF wins the head to head matchup and has only one loss. It shouldn't matter if they got thre AQ or not, that was just a loss. I see all of the others as right, but I see GAC at RF.

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

So, I assume 'bear that in your prediction there is now announced Finals host? AND, if RIT wins they host. BUT, who hosts if Adrian is the first from the west (in a while) to knock off an East team?

I think Middlebury would host if RIT lost to Adrian.

Gustavus/Plattsburgh

Wisconsin-River Falls/Adrian

Middlebury/Mville

RIT - Bye

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

For the last time.

If the NCAA sticks to their guns on flying rules, which I'm 98 percent sure they will.

The only team Adrian can play without flying is RIT. Prepare to be disappointed Tiger fans. On the flip side, if you win, you should be hosting the Final Four.

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

So why not give Adrian the bye, let the eastern teams play it out, let RF and GAC play it out. See where it goes from there.

.....because the higher ranked, stronger teams deserve the bye. RIT is penalized because of their proximity to Adrian (a lower/unranked team).

Re: DIII NCAA pairing speculation

By the looks of the NCHA tournament, they had to beat 2 ranked teams to win. How does that compare?
