Fight Cancer, Wherever You Find It
Re: Diet and Exercise 2012: Push It.
129.8 pounds. That puts my weight loss at about 19 pounds since August 2010, I can now run a 5K, and a 10K, unless it's hot. Then dear God I stink and almost die running two miles like I did today.
Insanity workout later on, then maybe a splash in the pool...yes I'm crazy. As soon as I got back into fitness, I realized: JFC, this is the most beautiful city on the planet, with the best weather. Get out there and take advantage of it.
This past year I learned to surf, and to steal the line from Toy Story, "falling...with style." I've hiked a bunch, increased my vertical leap exponentially, broke the plateau on the bench-press. All and all, I love life, I love this challenge, and I think I need to ramp up the intensity with another challenge. Maybe a marathon, or maybe a half to get used to it first?
I've been on the nutrition program called intermittent fasting. You eat all your food for the day, but you eat it in an 8 hour window. For me, I structured it to be noon to 8pm, when I'm most active. It's not been that hard except it's hard for me to get enough calories in the day!
