Cabrera is someone I worry about after this season. The kinds of injuries he had, abdominal, back, hip, and groin, are not going to be things that just go away given his occupation. These injuries can become chronic. And, it looks like he might have groin surgery during the off-season. He was, as we all could see, only half the player he usually is during much of the last two to three months.
I think we should bid Jhonny Peralta a fond farewell, go with Iglesias at SS, and find someone who can be a consistent left-fielder and hitter. But, I'm not sure if that will help or hinder the Tigers for next year. I hope the left field position doesn't become another 2nd base musical chairs problem, as it was before they landed Infante.
Moving Miggy to 1st probably keeps him more healthy in the long run.
