What's up with the turf? I'm pretty sure someone's knee isn't supposed to be able to double as a shovel like Boesch's did. And then Quentin took out a pretty big chunk with his cleat on that sliding catch in the first game.

So, Im going to the Mudhens vs. Angels this Saturday and staying the night.

Anyone have some hotel suggestions? Besides the Ren Cen and Greektown?

How much do you want to spend? We love the Book Cadillac and the Fort Shelby is pretty nice, too.

(and next to the Book them is a very nice Holiday Inn Express)

Comerica is a walk down Washington St. from all.

You know, I think we should keep putting Valverde out there a 2nd time after having him sit through a 1-2-3 Tigers inning. Good things keep happening.

Aaaaaand that's going to be the end of Torii Hunter for a few games. He got the bill of the helmet into the umpire and got run. Scioscia got the hook as well after he said the magic words. Someone heaved a bag of baseballs onto the field and then Hunter reappeared from the dugout.

Went to the Whitecaps game tonight. Guillen played six innings, had a walk, hit into a DP and had a FC. Never got the ball hit to him once. Then I swear he left for Detroit as soon as he was taken out because he was not in the celebration following the walk off single for a 2-1 'Caps win.

I hope he did light out for Detroit. They need all the help they can get.

Hunter got 4 games, BTW. I think that's about right.

I have no comment on the pants-pooping that occurred tonight at Comerica.
