Has Thurman Thomas found his helmet yet?

Dear Detroit Lions,

This upcoming game against Green Bay in Week 17 is meaningless so please don't stomp any of our starters.

Thanks in advance,

The Green Bay Packer Shareholders

We'll do our best to make sure we feed Suh before the game.

Well played, gentlemen. :)

I said after that infamous collarbone/Stafford play that won the game a while back...he's for real. You guys got yourself a winner.

I read in the Free Press that we're 3 1/2 point favorites this weekend. At Lambeau. I don't care if the Packers are propping up Lombardi's corpse to coach and starting 77 year old (and a week shy of turning 78) Bart Starr. No way in hell would I take the Lions in Lambeau until further notice.

Think about this: the home team automatically gives 3 points. So if this were at a neutral site, the Lions would be favored by 6 1/2.

If the Lions were 6 1/2 dogs this weekend I don't think I'd touch the Lions at Lambeau. That place is as good as haunted as far as the Lions are concerned.

EDIT: A quick search reveals that the Lions are indeed 3 1/2 point favorites for Sunday's game.

Lambeau itself has killed greater teams. I don't blame you.

I don't think we were ever 3.5 point favorites at Lambeau with Barry Sanders, Billy Sims, the ghost of Bobby Layne, Karras, Rick Forzano or any of the other former Lions that ever won there. Detroit is 65-90-7 in 162 games all time versus Green Bay, 24-63-4 away. (Of course the Lions have similar records against the Bears and Vikings, too.)

Edit: I forgot to add that the Lions have lost 20 straight games at Lambeau dating back to 1992. They had a win streak there from 1986-1991 when the Pack were not quite as imposing. Bring back Lynn Dickey.

Lot of buzz this week with former Wayne State RB Joique Bell being signed by the Lions. He should be a great fit for them I think. He was pretty hard to bring down in college, and could also make a guy miss as well. He could be a real gem for the Lions while they try to sort of what's going on with their current stable of running backs. At least keep em from thinking about drafting an RB in the early rounds. Don't think they'll have him play so much this week, but I would expect to see him a lot next week in the playoffs.

Green Bay inactives: Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings, Randall Cobb, James Starks, Bryan Baluga, Clay Matthews, Charles Woodson.

Honestly, if the Lions don't get a win at Lambeau with that much talent sitting out, it'll be another few decades before they have a legit shot at it.

Six point favorites now.

Go Pack Go! Here's to a hopeful third game in the playoffs.
