Re: Detroit Lions 2010: Let's do our Best to keep our Johnson in our Schwartz, okay?
Which pretty much tends to the theory as to why Stafford is oft-injured...?
I love how the haters point at him and claim he is a glass doll when the offensive line is so poor.
I say draft another tight end, though.
As I see it, the D-line is ok- they put some good pressure on many times, but still have issues in letting up a long run often. Leave them alone.
QB- getting slaugtered by the other line, but both main and back up are credible. If they had more time at key point...- leave them alone.
catchers and runners- good enough- leave them alone, too.
Basically, we have two things that need a lot of work- the offensive line, and the defensive backs.
So, If I were king for the day, and we end up with a high draft pick, and IF the draft is top heavy with QB's, d-line, or backs and recievers- trade down the best you can so that you can take extra pics for the d-backs and the offensive line. And trade at will to get some protection for Stafford. Keep our D off the field, and you hide a lot of suckiness- even when they are on, then- the line can really go off.
I'm no expert, but if we waste our high pick on a QB, Back, or reciever, I will puke. Well, unless they are traded for some linemen. A good offensive line will make the entire offense look better right now- more often good runs, better passes with time, etc.
But, that's just me.
